Jason Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 (edited) i think people have to stop living in the past and get over the old design of cars. I have to agreee that post pre2000 motors were better becuze of emmision (GTR and S15 for eg) If rather buy a new car now than 30 years ago.... Edited October 12, 2006 by Jason Quote
ancullen Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 I'm not against the look of new cars. I just think Toyota could have done a FAR better job. Look at cars like the Mazda3, Alfa Romeo 147, and to a point, the new Honda Civic hatch (not sedan). They look great, and comply with all the safety, emissions, and fuel consumption restrictions we've come to expect. Toyota are just crap at designing Corollas and have been ever since they went FWD. The new Aurion looks okay, but doesn't stand out, and the new Camry's a bit on the boring side too, but also looks good. The Yaris looks great, so I just don't know how they got the Corolla/Auris so wrong. Quote

Id like to live in the early 90's so i could buy a 86 and do a 4agze conversion and it be unique at the time. Quote
ancullen Posted October 12, 2006 Author Report Posted October 12, 2006 I wish I'd bought an AE86 like I wanted back when I first got my licence - before F**KING Intial-D. Oh well. I'm also going to regret in years to come not earning enough in the last couple of years to buy a brand new ZZW31 MR2 before they took them out of production, but I just never had the money. Although, there is one second hand for about $20,000 up here right now... Quote
