ae71neo Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Can someone explain to me exactly how these things happen? Quote
demuire Posted July 12, 2004 Author Report Posted July 12, 2004 You turn up, pay money, you get a piece of paper with instructions and questions, you follow instructions and questions and at the end you end up somewhere and they tell you how you went :) Quote
ae71neo Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Thanks :) Ok then so it costs barely nothing..whats else do you need apart from a nav? Quote
irokin Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 No real Nav experience....I'm a pizza delivery dude if that helps (I look at a UBD every night I work...) Quote
demuire Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 Umm... The ENTIRE thing usually takes about 2 hours, so no you don't need a back seat full of redbull and unhealthy snacks at all. Grim I think you're mixing this up with the Midnight To Dawn. Quote
demuire Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 To each their own. ae71neo: One of you (either you or your nav) will need a CAMS licence, I think a 2NS or something is sufficient. Apart from that, a torch light, some pens and some paper and maybe a clipboard. That's about it really... Quote
Teddy Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Nick : You drive, I'll Nav ! Id love that :) !!!!!! $10 Fee? ill pay that & Chip in $10 for Fuel ! When is this btw (can't find the date...or is it my old eyes?) Quote
demuire Posted July 13, 2004 Author Report Posted July 13, 2004 Teddy: This Friday. Hmm, I should call someone and make sure it's on and confirm that the starting point is still the same... Quote
Teddy Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Friday! Sweeeet... If Nick can't do it - ae71neo - Do you need a Nav? - i would love to do it ! Quote
ae71neo Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 have you got a cams licence teddy? cos i was going to take my cousin or my dad but either of them don't have a cams licence. Quote
Teddy Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I have my cams BUT i still need to get the card from them... Grrr (long story) otherwize i have paid the fee's and do have a cams ! Quote
demuire Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 Card? It's a little book thingy, they should have sent it to you by post. Else you still have your 30-day licence (though it may be expired...) Quote
Teddy Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Well in a Nutshell - (sorry, a book , not card, my wrong) - i waited, then i got a letter which needed a Doc's approval (i take ventlin occasionally for my asthma) so anyway got doc's signature, and brother went and posted it ... 2 days ago i found it NOT POSTED in the kitchen under uber amounts of junk... :) now that its been posted, i have 2 wait for them to get it .. (how long does it take a letter to get to victoria..) and then wait for them to send me my stuff... (i have a copy of my Cams member number / receipt for it - so i have all the paper work...) grr! If Ae71 Neo can't do it... is there any 1 else who would be interested in it? Quote
wyldephyre Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 They can be a bit slack, CAMS. I got mine the day my temp. one was expiring. Quote
demuire Posted July 14, 2004 Author Report Posted July 14, 2004 Heh, I got my last one about 3 months after my previous one expired, and it was only valid for 9 months although I'd paid for 12 months... *dodgy* Quote
