I have 9 days until scrutineering and it is still being tuned and then it needs some more suspension fine tuning. That will leave me probably just under a week to get it up to scratch for scrutineering and get some serious seat time in it. Doh! Hope my nav is up to scratch. Craig Quote

demuire Posted July 20, 2004 Report Posted July 20, 2004 Exhaust is fixed, person who built the exhaust tried to blame my engine mounts and/or gearbox mounts for my constantly breaking exhaust, didn't want to even take in the possibility that *maybe* it might be bad design on his part that there's so much stress on it. Anyway, he's just re-welded it back, let's start a poll to see how long it'll last before it breaks again... Quote
demuire Posted July 23, 2004 Report Posted July 23, 2004 Car is stickered up: Going to test out different tyre pressures tonight, was running 36/38 last night and it's still sketchy as all hell. Dropped it to 34/36 before I went to bed, will probably drop it down again to 32/34 tonight before I go out, and if that's still a bit "meh" I'll drop it down to maybe 30/32. Then final check and prep, and it's ALL GO FOR TOMORROW!!! Sad news, Mick Jones in the STi has pulled out, car not ready :) That should make the event even more interesting, who's going to win? A big favourite is Harry in his Datto1200, but then there's also Redwarf and then there's the car Mel's navigating in (turbo Swift) that is blindingly quick... And there's the Hillman Hunter always seems to do very well... And then ther's that turbo Fiat 131 that pulled like 205hp at the same dyno I pulled my 69 from... Quote
