99 Posted June 24, 2004 Report Posted June 24, 2004 Oooh it's excellent when Redwarf is excited again!! Giddyup indeed!!!! Quote
demuire Posted July 5, 2004 Report Posted July 5, 2004 Getting pretty excited about this now :) Apart from the usual gearbox and handbrake woes the Corolla seems to be going fairly well, and Haikal and I are going to go over some of the other nav notes again tonight and see if we can polish up and hopefully not get lost for the next one - I'm not setting my hopes too high though. The Info night is on the 14th, at 8pm I think. At the BSCC Clubrooms. There's some serious competition in our class this year, with :) (Redwarf), Craig Thomson (Turbo Datto1200), Harry (L18 Datto1200) in it, I don't think I really even need to hope to do too well, but all the same I hope I have a heap of fun (and not get lost!) Teddy Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 1995 Toyota Landcruiser - Is this the Landcruiser that spins all 4 wheels and performs like nothing else on the side of the black stump? Quote
demuire Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 That would be it. I would be guessing it will be showing up most of the cars in the above list. Quote
Teddy Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 oh id love to get a movie of that thing... Quote
ae71neo Posted July 9, 2004 Report Posted July 9, 2004 haha i didnt think it would be a everyday landcruiser... Quote
NoPsi Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Geez Mel if I had known you were looking for a ride I would have said you could've gone shotgun in PhatDat. However navigator has been sorted. See you kids Wednesday night. :) Craig Quote
99 Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 Hey Craig! I didn't know you were on this forum?! I was trying to convince some Qld rally gods (John Spencer, Paul Bergmann) into the event and thus keeping myself free just in case. They fell through but am super excited to be lucky enough to secure a ride with David Homer in the Suzuki Swift. Yes, THE David Homer (insert Simpsons joke here, everyone else does) who currently holds 5 class records at the Mount Cotton Hillclimb. Yeeeharr! :) Craig, you'll run for BSCC in the Interclub Challenge, right? We've got enough for 3 teams but we definitely need you! From what I can tell, the only other clubs that can put together one team each are Holden Sporting (Fook, Peter Stanford, Craig, Glen + ?) and the WRX club. The WRX club are my tip for the ones to beat, they are unreal in this type of event. BSCC is lucky enough to have 2 really high quality teams, the third a bit of "pot luck" with lots of enthusiastic newbies. I'm really enjoy putting together our teams, everyone is soooo keen to get that title from HSCCQ!!! :) ... or maybe that's just me! :) Quote
demuire Posted July 11, 2004 Report Posted July 11, 2004 *sigh* the day when I get good enough that gun-navigators like Mel would be jumping up to navigate for me... Hehe, I've got no idea who's in our team (HSCCQ), but it should be a blast :) Quote
demuire Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 I see... an 83 AE86 Sprinter in the entry list - is this you mumblezz? Quote
demuire Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 Reminder: 8pm BSCC Clubrooms on Wednesday, Info night for this event. If you'd like to know more about this event and what it's all about, come along. There'll be information about what to expect and you can talk to other people who have done these events before, plus other newbies who haven't. No obligations, if you don't think it's for you then that's fine, you don't have to put an entry in :) Quote
mumblezzz Posted July 12, 2004 Author Report Posted July 12, 2004 Hmm, aint me. Still tossing up ATM. My car is falling apart at the zip-ties. Scrutineering will be hard. Quote
