hope that bonnet is white now? or going to be. would look so much better but thats just my opinion. and yummy arp headstuds :) did they need to be custom done? or do they already make them for the k motor's?

Haha yeah bonnet will be colour coded when the car is turbo'd. Was black to try and hide the scoop a bit.

And as mr mills said the studs were part of a group buy and were near half the price of what I could get em for. I do have the part numbers if your interested.

My new Spool conrods arrived yesterday!! One of the first if not the first to be sold within Aus, has sold a fair few to NZ. These are a work of art even for the money.

I'll drop so pics up for you guys when I get home from work.

just checked all the measurements just before and seem perfect. So no need for resizing big ends, just have to hone the small ends.

S15 roller bearing I'm using for fabrication and runing in purposes until i decide whether to rebuild it with a steel rear end or upgrade to maybe a little bigger garrett gt range turbo.

Nice just prank before you come around gotta go and org some parts for the datto. Which should be on the road again real soon.

Oh yeah wrapped up in bubble wrap and stuff. So they are safe until I build the engine. But it's such a shame that all of this cool shite for my engine is hidden away.

Well it has been a while since my last update, been slowly parts gathering. I've sorted a new turbo!!! It's of the HKS ball bearing variety which is all I'm saying at the moment.

I've also got genuine Toyota head gasket and 4age main studs. So were getting closer and closer to dropping it off for manifolds and shite, really just waiting on room in the factory.

Sweet, so 4age normal bolts go into a 5k after being tapped to suit off course?

I'm not sure the 4age normal bolt would even be an upgrade. From what I could gather they are the same diameter as a 5k bolt(I'm yet to check) only got em as they were cheap. I'll be picking up the new turbo this weekend hopefully. It's payment for a 4agte I've built for a mates k-sev. I'll tell all when I've recieved it.

Well, that sure as heck beats working for beer! :D

Yeah or even bourbon!! Havent got it yet so we will see.

But I did drop the new/old bonnet off to have a bit of rust on the front fixed and then painted. That's payment for some machining/adapting parts for a mates dads harley.

Any plans for the S15 turbocharger after the dummy-fitting process/upgrade to HKS BB item?

 

Yeah man I'm a maissive fan of the "everything swings in roundabouts" system. Lol. And working in the aftermarket performance industry helps a bucket load too.

 

Ah the s15 t28. Well I was planning on maybe putting on the fj20 in dads 1600, but he really really wants a gt3071.

Tazrx has put his hand up for it maybe. But if it is just sitting here in the end I'll let you know.

'Tis a good system, just sucks when you come across a person who doesnt return favours :( i.e I loan my lawn mower to a guy who promised to mow my lawns in return. Didnt get my mower back for 3 months or my lawns mowed, so guess who got told where to go when he wanted the whipper snipper last week :lol:. But I guess you're probably pretty good at picking these guys by now.

 

Darn, well when you're beaten to it, you're beaten to it :D On the upside for me, I might get to see two 5KTE's duking it out with dyno sheets :wink:
