kickn5k Posted October 17, 2011 Author Report Posted October 17, 2011 So not a wheel issue, more an issue with the core?? Stu. Quote
Taz_Rx Posted October 17, 2011 Report Posted October 17, 2011 So not a wheel issue, more an issue with the core?? Stu. Correct. Wheel looks like it would actually fit Quote
untubbed_20 Posted October 18, 2011 Report Posted October 18, 2011 Dang. I think the .64 should be ok seeing as it's a bb not a bushy. It still should be reasonably punchy. You could machine it to fit. Stu. E85, theres more exhaust energy:), and that REALLY sucks Taz about the exhaust housing cheers darren Quote
kickn5k Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 (edited) Well the dirty datto is all legal, with some small issues but still on the road none the less. So I've started working on the rolla. I fitted the dummy 4k and a spare box i have in today going to try and have a pretty much complete bay in the next couple of days I cracked it with the laser cutter and grabbed the gasket back and gave it to my fabricator to get steel exhaust and aluminum inlet flanges cut by the guy he uses. That was before Christmas and they promised them to me by the 9th. Better than the 6 months I have been waiting. I've decided to put the haltech e6k I had in the datto and I'm upgrading(only slightly) mine. Pretty much have everything for the engine. And fabricator is saying it all shouldn't take long. So what this space!! Edited January 1, 2012 by kickn5k Quote
Jono.C Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 Get her done! What's the chance of it being done by Tassie Powercruise? :P Quote
kickn5k Posted January 1, 2012 Author Report Posted January 1, 2012 Get her done! What's the chance of it being done by Tassie Powercruise? :P I'll be pushing for it. I think it will all hinge on the engine machinist.(haha you of all people know how long they can take) I'm trying to convince the old man to enter the datto. That's if this isn't done. The fuel debate is still raging. But I'm keeping that one quiet until things progress a little more. I'll be waiting a bit for the intercooler and custom radiator to be made. Will be a heap of cash but I'm after something that fits bang on, not near enough. I've got the guys at Clive cams on the go for a new crazy boost grind for it too. Stu. Quote
philbey Posted January 1, 2012 Report Posted January 1, 2012 New fuel type.... Meth baby? This thing is cool. I had some mucking about with engine mounts I ended up cutting and modifying a ke.... 55 one I think. Took out some of the offset. But rewelding it inevitably cooked the rubber so it won't last long. I have an original 2 piece Toyota one that I might be ablest fit a generic bush to. Have you come up with anything better? Quote

Lol but then I've got my fabricator trying to talk me into LPG he's doing stupid things with it lately. On the engine mounts. I've purchased a good set off GJM85 thanks Gavin. So I've fitted my old ones to the dummy block and waiting to get it into mates shop to check what his recommendations are. I'm still considering gearbox options. Before anyone says "W" series, I'm not cutting the tunnel!! I've got a customer at work that believes he can make me the right parts to make my K50 hold 200rwkw(not that I reckon it'll make that much) with anti-lag launches. Just have to wait and see how much it's going to cost. Stu. Quote

Jono.C Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 I still reason your best option is a k-t K-t would be anywhere from 250 to 400 installed and then you won't have to worry as much, t18 t50 is the best bet, and it'll fit in your tunnel :jamie: Quote
kickn5k Posted January 2, 2012 Author Report Posted January 2, 2012 T50 from a TA22? :hmm: Yeah that is a consideration. I could probably deal with a little massaging. Harvey(homerske17) said he had to mod his a bit. Just realized you'd changed your login Josh. Have to remember that one. Quote

It's going to good use. Once I've got everything done I'll freshen it up and pass it on for what it owes me, which will be f'all. Going to fabricators tomoz with my stuff to see what I can get done over my holidays. Picked up a r31 skyline throttle body and tps today. Using the skyrine one as it will work well with the throttle cable setup I already have in the car. This sort of thing is what takes time. After doing the fj20 in the 1600 on the fly, it has taught me alot about planing these types of projects. I like to have it all in front of me these days. Stu. mhmills Posted January 2, 2012 Report Posted January 2, 2012 (edited) Wish I could run a bigger throttle body on my 7k manifold. Too bad I'm too lazy to organize a throttle adapter plate or something :P Twins would be nice. Edited January 2, 2012 by mhmills Quote

I remember talking with you about this a while ago. If I use a t18 one the tailshaft is the same length? Quote
