I really like the orange too, although a nice metallic cherry red would look nice as well! you know painting a car red gives you an extra 50 rwhp! :)

Yeah man, it can be easily! just spray more coats of red! More red paint= more power! :)

The Orange looks hot. I don't think I'll decide untill

I actually walk into a paint shop to buy the paint.

I've also had thoughts on a Metallic Royal Blue or a

Metallic Candy Purple. But i still like the Silver.

The silver will look good as well! :no: The best thing is........by the looks of your rolla there seems to be next to no rust at all in this rig! great starting point, reduces preperation time. You should start a project thread on this thing and show us all every step of the way maybe?

I finally picked a name for her, Candy.

She'll be bright out there and no matter how many

others there are she'll still be sweet.

 

The Cortinas are gorgeous! The Blue one is being

turned into a dragcar at the moment. Thinking of

putting a 1JZ in it. The yellow one was orginally

bought for me but i think now it's more of a spare

parts car. But both in very very good condition.

Hi Guys, this is my project:

 

81 KE 55 Sedan, it had been sitting round the back of the guys house for years. It didnt go, flat tires, blocked tank, stuck brakes etc..

Paid $300 for it with the deep dish jelly beans and 5 speed.

 

Since owning it (6 months) I put new carpet in it, registered, a sound system and some other stuff. Most importantly I bought a partially rebuilt 4K engine that had the following done to it:

Ported Head

Balanced (block was sent down south)

Billet Lumpy cam with 292 lift

20thou over size flat top pistons etc...

 

Heaps more was done however myself and mates assembled it and put new dizzy, fuel pump, performance clutch, leads, iridium plugs, pacemakers, etc on it. Had 2" exhaust with sports muffler installed ($380). Have been running stock carby however just got the delorto back and heres a pict with the linkage kit and air cleaner installed. I have spent so much on the carby setup its a joke! (Over $500) Just have the throttle setup to go. Sounds sooo lumpy now and hates idling below 900rmp! Some picts of inside as well. Ive posted a couple on this site b4.

That rear bar wrecks it for me. Needs to be real chrome.

there has obviously been some money spent on the car...so they could of got it re-chromed, rather than spraying it with shit!

 

Having the bars...and other chrome parts like this....is actually a style, one that was quite popular at the nats around the time this pic was taken of this car. I personally quite like it. But I doubt you will find the owner did it because he couldn't afford to have the bar re-chromed.

decided on the colour.

interior still getting done all black.

looking for rims 15x6.5 on front and 15x7.5 on rear.

deep dish of corse.

in mean time more stripping taking place.
