coln72 Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Anything can be done with enough time and effort, comes down to how badly do you want to run those carbies. Hell Ive seen a Honda Civic running 4 bike carbies on it Quote
Max2440 Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 well they are jst sitting there doin nothing and it would be a shame 2 not put them 2 use but would a adaptaplate have 2 be custom made or is there somthing around that would work?? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I doubt you will ever find something that will make them just bolt on, it's not exactly a common conversion. Quote
Max2440 Posted September 12, 2006 Author Report Posted September 12, 2006 yea thats what i thought ill ring around and see cause they look like the perfect match what about a custom adapter how much do u think id be lookin at cause i could use the orginal manafold of the prelude!! and i don't really wanna go out and spend 220 on some doleto's and still have 2 get manafolds and crap like that! lol thanks Quote
Redwarf Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Dude, you couldn't buy Dellorto's for $220. Setting up a good pair of twins will conservatively cost the wrong side of $800. My Webers were $1000. You'd be far better off getting a twin Corolla manifold and carbs and working with them. Quote
muller Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 Whats so good about the Prelude carbs? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 I think nothing, it's just that he has them already Quote
Max2440 Posted September 13, 2006 Author Report Posted September 13, 2006 yea its really just cause i already have them and they are in good condition so yea has anyone had anything or know anyone that could make a custom plate or sumthing well yea thanks Quote
anastasios Posted September 13, 2006 Report Posted September 13, 2006 after all the fiddling with those carbs u might as well put a stock 4ac in it and ull make more power Quote
Max2440 Posted September 13, 2006 Author Report Posted September 13, 2006 yea but the old engines fine and i don't wanna go out and buy a diffrent engine and fidle around ect ect ect well alwell ill look around thanks Quote
ke30king Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 do the inlet ports line up? most likely not. but if they do make yourself an adapter plate out of cardboard take it to a machine shop. tell them what you want if they have the equipment they will most likely make one for you for under a hundred bucks. if the ports don't line up. you will have to make a completly custom manifold Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted September 15, 2006 Report Posted September 15, 2006 after all the fiddling with those carbs u might as well put a stock 4ac in it and ull make more power 4AC's are shit. I'd rather walk Quote
