Raven Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 (edited) Chemiweld wont fix that. Throw it away and get another block. If the pistons etc are good, strip it down completely and then throw it away. Edited September 11, 2006 by Raven Quote
Adam_ke55 Posted September 11, 2006 Author Report Posted September 11, 2006 would it be at least a temp fix untill i could get another block? also the crack is very fine and is only leaking a small amount of water. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 (edited) Just keep filling it up with water and hope for the best, while you search quickly for a new engine. Where are you located? *Edit : Nevermind you have your location stated. Edited September 11, 2006 by Rolla__Boy Quote

Des Posted September 19, 2006 Report Posted September 19, 2006 My block is free you just need to pay postage. :D Quote
MRMOPARMAN Posted September 20, 2006 Report Posted September 20, 2006 if its only a hairline crack keaking lightly, chemiweld can most of the time fix it. also ground pepper works. be advised though these methods are only good for TEMPORARY fixes. and use it as the bottles describe. if it doesnt work the first time, resist the temptation to throw in a 2nd bottle. ive pulled heads off engines that have been fixed with excessive chemiweld, and the water transfer ports between the head and block were completely sealed up, and the engine cooked. the chemiweld set rock hard so bad that i had to use a hammer and screwdriver to chip away at it!
