ancullen Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 What's the point of it? Do they change the weight on the sled thing that they pull or what? Quote
Des Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 differant class's have differant weights.Tractor pulling is on espn sometimes fun to watch. :D Quote
Des Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 If ya watch carefully there is a slide on the trailer its pulling, When they get further down the strip it moves forward and pushes the grater thing on the front into the ground which makes it harder to pull. :D Quote
Jason Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 i have to say it more fun to watch than drag racing... Quote
irokin Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 i have to say it more fun to watch than drag racing... True true....and Ive suddenly developed this urge to marry my cousin...but other than that its all good. Seen some pretty crazy designs. Multitudes of big block blown V8s (upwards of 5), Single, Dual, Triple and Quad tuboshaft engines. A supercharged radial!! Awesome stuff Quote
dysolve Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 now i thought my hilux blew some black smoke but OMG... that black/grey smoke is unburnt fuel... i think i could run my hilux of a good few weeks off the unburnt fuel alone LOL... I love it when people in little cars tail-gate me , just take the my truck to 2500rpm and stomp the clutch.... and out it comes pure black weed... they stop tailing very quickly.. but i wish it blew that much smoke every body in canberra would know not to tailgate me LOL Quote
ancullen Posted September 14, 2006 Report Posted September 14, 2006 Straight through exhaust with no emissions gear or mufflers would probably do it. Quote

irokin Posted September 18, 2006 Report Posted September 18, 2006 Theres a twin 13B engined tractor I have seen, straight out pipes! Imagine the noise! ....not as loud as this puppy! http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...tor_pulling.jpg FOUR Rolls Royce Gnome turboshaft engines each producing 1535 shaft HP. So that'd be a total of 6140 shaft HP. Quote
