Rolla__Boy Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 This is what happens when you pump 100psi into a Cummins Diesel. Quote
Des Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 holy s**t. Its ripped the block apart. Quote
coln72 Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 are the drivers nuts still intact, looks a hell of a way to get a vasectomy :P Quote
ancullen Posted September 7, 2006 Report Posted September 7, 2006 That's insane!!! I've heard of the exploded view of engines, but that's going a bit far! Quote
c budge Posted September 8, 2006 Report Posted September 8, 2006 hoe big is that turbo it likes like a t123! hahaha Quote
beerhead Posted September 9, 2006 Report Posted September 9, 2006 Holy crap, Imagine the noise! The best engine explosion I've witnessed was a top fueler blowing at take off. Kaboom! Beautiful blue flames all over the motor, oil pissing everywhere (winternats last year). Funny part was it still rolled a 12.5 down the 1/4. Quote
Raven Posted September 10, 2006 Report Posted September 10, 2006 (edited) That'll bolt back together and buff out :P Edited September 10, 2006 by Raven Quote
Taz_Rx Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 thats when you know you're really pushing your engine to its limits...... pistons are strong enough,.....head bolts are strong enough,......crank is strong enough,.......block isn't!!!!!! :D :) :( Quote
BiGGy Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 holy crap is that fuel splashing out in that first pic? Thats amazing, lucky its diesel or that driver would not of walked away. Quote
irokin Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 holy crap is that fuel splashing out in that first pic? Thats amazing, lucky its diesel or that driver would not of walked away. Coolant....still you wouldnt want a 90degC liquid spraying all over you. Quote
TheNOBBLER[RL] Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Is there any video footage of this floating around? Would love to see it happen... Quote
rolla_4 Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 Yeah video would be good. I have seen plenty of bottom ends letting go and blocks destroyed by that but never something like this.... :( Then again it is 100 pounds of boost..... :D I think the turbo might be bit too laggy for the 4age but gettin it in under any engine bay would be the real challenge... :) Its mchuge.... Jason Posted September 11, 2006 Report Posted September 11, 2006 thats awsome town right there :D i want a 100psi turbo motor Quote
camerondownunder88 Posted September 12, 2006 Report Posted September 12, 2006 HI, Turbo looks like a ST50 in the pic. But man tore the block in half on a truck motor now that takes some doing. Do you know what tractor pulling event this happened at? And what class this one was in? Cameron Quote
