The Official Rollaclub Browser Toolbar is now rleased.

 

Some of you may have seen it in my signature for a little while now ... it has been in test mode but there have been no issues with the various members using it so here it is for all to grab.

 

There is an MSIE and Firefox version for XP and it also runs effectively on Firefox under Linux.

 

Now the toolbar is public we are going to try and sway MSIE users to jump to Firefox as well.

 

MSIE is full of hole sand exploits which apart fom being bad for you and your computer are also bad for the forum. If you are doubtful of just how bad it is then this link should certainly help ...... check all the bad blue bits !!

The toolbar has direct links to the FAQ, the Search screen and the New Posts. - so even if you aren't on Rollaclub you can click one button and be at the new posts screen. There is also a serach function for Google, Ebay and a dictionary. Using those links will make the Mods and Admins jobs that much easier that we might even find time to implement some of the suggestions floating around.

 

If you try the toolbar and don't like it you can easily uninstall it - there is no spyware or malware and it doesn't create popups or other annoyances. You have NOTHING to lose.

But will it run on Opera, because that seems to be the way to go if we want to avoid issues.

I have no idea - but we are happy with Firefox for now - I've tried Opera and didn't like it - can't say I have met many people who have liked it.

I installed the toolbar a couple of days ago...and I love it, it's handy as hell, I also like the weather on it :)

 

I've used nothing but firefox for a long time, MSIE can die a horrible death as far as I am concerned.

Thanks - glad you like the toolbar.

 

Unfortunately only 22 members have bothered to install it.

 

Those of you that have - thank you - feel free to throw some feedback up here for others to see. (and if there is something you don't like about it let us know that too).

 

The toolbar is dynamic - so if we make any changes, everybody will get them - you don't need to update or re-download the toolbar.

 

Come-on guys and girls - get on board - it certainly is the easy way to get Rollaclub links.

 

 

PS. Think about Firefox too if you don't already use it. Tabbed browsing with the click of the middle mouse button is just one advantage!

 

PPS. There is every chance that special events or promotions will be made available EXCLUSIVELY via the Rollaclub toolbar. So if you don't have it you won't know.
