Rolla__Boy Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Is it engineered? You would probably be better off finding another body and swapping the engine into it Quote
kangaroosa Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 I'm offering $250 for any information that leads to its recovery. Nice to hear that you got your car back mate. I guess Rolla_Boy is the lucky recipient of your $250 for Info leading to your car being found. :y: Quote
Trendact Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Can anyone recommend a good mechanic in Queanbeyan, i want to get her rolling again asap. Try Steve (Thomo), he is in Hume not far from QBN. Quote
redrolla_55 Posted August 24, 2006 Author Report Posted August 24, 2006 Is it engineered? You would probably be better off finding another body and swapping the engine into it Yes, its engineered. Do you think it would be easier to replace the back end or move everything into another body? Nice to hear that you got your car back mate. I guess Rolla_Boy is the lucky recipient of your $250 for Info leading to your car being found. :y: Of course. Thanks again Rolla_Boy - pm sent ;) Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Given that it is engineered, it would have to be re-engineered if you changed it to another body, which may end up cheaper and easier than fixing the back of that car, it looks pretty bad. I have HEAPS of parts if you need stuff. Will be cheap if not free for most parts Quote
Trendact Posted August 24, 2006 Report Posted August 24, 2006 Yep I agree with Geoff maybe cheaper to buy a new car/shell and move all the good bits over. Cutting rear quarter panels off as well as boot pans etc...and replacing them can be done but just as easy to do a new car. Quote
thomo Posted August 27, 2006 Report Posted August 27, 2006 I'm still here!!! first post in a bloody long time!! yes i can do the work on it, yes id go the reshell, i think that arse end has had it but ill call you to arange to bring it in, no point stressing to much till we've got it on the hoist and had a good look (i think i will have a 55 shell for sale soon, but rather fix yours if we can) Quote
thomo Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 let us all bow our heads and say a few words as another roller goes to the big racetrack in the sky, the 20valve ke55 is here in the shop and is beond all repair :lock: Quote
