don't start me on people who hog the right lane, grrrr.

"Personally, i pelieve there shouldn't be speed limits. There should be speed recomondations. Like "we recomend you do 60 here, but you can do more, f@$k up and you'll pay."

Or even some of them German autobahns where the limit is 180 or something, old man of a guy i work with says that its great and they only have a couple of accidents a year. Although they do tend to be large

i rekon they should just have speed limits in suburbs and towns and on open roads you should be allowed to do whatever you want..

if not then at least put the maximum speed limit up to 140kmh

To my way of thinking, hooning is the practice of lighting up, drifting, or going 40+ over the limit in urban (read main drags, and around peoples homes) areas. And while I would never say that I don't get as close to things as I possibly can in my bog standard KE30 on the odd occasion, I do think its wrong. If you go nucking futz in places like this, you risk HURTING OTHER PEOPLE and WRECKING OTHER PEOPLE'S SHIT. And people going about their ordinary business in these areas should not have to worry about taking precautions against this degree of lunacy. So the cops fist peole engaging in this sort of behaviour. On the other hand, they tend to turn a blind eye to more responsible forms of illegal automobile tomfoolery(heh). If you think the cops have no idea where the local drags or drifts are held in industrial areas or back roads, you're kidding yourself. Um, yeah.

But old people are actually safer drivers than young people. I'm sorry. That's just the facts. I've seen the stats.

No, really, they are.

depending on how you look at the stats tho. see your looking at the fact of how many younger drivers crash compared to old people, which is true, they are better in that sense. but when you find the stats that show the amount of Kilometers young people do per accident and the amount of kilometers that older people do per accident, youll see that the results are reversed. I'm talking crap either it is true, its just that younger drivers drive so much more so obviously we are at a far greater risk. the more you do something that has a risk the higher your chances are that youll suffer in a accident.

You could also say that older people have been driving for many years and are quite experianced. Where as youger drivers who haven't had their license for long are more inexperianced.

these threads give me the craps. So many different views, generally everyone thinks they are correct. Good thing tho, most people in here have there head screwed on the correct way :y: haha lol...

I figure, if you look after your self, aka for me, thats me; its ok. Stay clear of the incompetent drivers that obviously are a driving danger, and stay out of cars where the drivers are tools. If your in control of the situation in normal circumstances, where your honest to your self, doing the correct thing, then your chances of something going ugly would be quite lower. This doesn't account for the others on the road tho.

Re the hole age verse better driving or what not.. Yes, Experience comes with age, Yes older (read it correctly, older not OLD) drivers are better drivers that younger ones. Like food products, theres a best by date, and a used by date. OLD drivers are the same, and without regular testing (not in place in QLD atm..i think?!), there is no knowing how many expired drivers there are floating around. Yes, most of them are in Camry's and the like, but in all seriousness, i sometimes wonder how some of these OLD drivers are still on the road, and haven't killed anyone yet. But don't get me wrong, ive got another bag full of opinion on young, new drivers, also.

with age comes cenial old farts

today perfect example; turning onto souther expressway on south road where the expressway begins, I'm in the far left lane the one that has to merge, as i leave from the traffic lights there is a mirage next to me with some old tarts in it, and instantly they start turning into my lane, so i stay right next to them so i could collect some cash when they hit me, then they realised how close they were started mouthing off, so i hung out the window hailing fingers and abuse. i have no time for incompetant drivers on the road. i still don't understand why they turned into the merging lane after they broke and then went back into their lane.

not that I'm sticking up for young drivers cause there are too many of them retards aswell. I'm in my 20's, and i still see alot of crackers. by the way all of my statements made are with regard to south australian drivers. alot of them make me sick.

a healthy does of road rage never goes astray.
