I'm going to use 4x100 watt sealed beams to burn those hares on the spot. I might get a special rego for it cause i don't think i will get it fully registered. Autocross and maybe some hillclimbs or something might be on the cards now.

I picked this up tonight and I'm testing it out tomorrow (wednesday) to see if it fits properly and how it looks.

guys guys guys... you've reeeeaaaally gotta make sure you don't put bog over paint.... it'll lift at the edges within months. Bog is porous and when you rubbing the whole car down with wet n dry it soaks in and seperates the bog from the paint and you'll get big f@$koff cracks after you've repainted the whole car. And it'll rust again. Take the whole area anywhere near bog back to bare metal.

Yea if i was making this car into a ummm a car like teddy's it would be welded and no bog ever but this is my racer so its going to probably be taking down cones tree's anything remotely close by ;) .

In my experience people with moustaches are hiding something... usually a deep seeded childhood insecurity like not being breastfed enough... unless your name is carlos and you're of latino origin and you have a very thin moustache in which case the only thing you'll be hiding is the location of your cocaine stash.

As long as you knock the top off the paint and it is decent body filler you shouldn't have any great dramas. Preparation is the key, You don't have to go back to bare metal on everything. This is just a tidy up of the worst rust so that it will pass RWC.

Looking good ;) ill drop the coilover spanner around some time next week, or week end. I was just thinking before justin came "Have i got every thing" then one of those o shit moments. :D

yeah sorry 'bout that... i got all "holier-than-thou" for a minute there. I'm a bit of a perfectionist... but also a hipocrite... my project '70 is a testament to tireless endeavour and preparation while the daily thrasher '70 has more dodgy fibreglass than a frikkin canoe

I was test fitting a few parts today and this is what they look like.

 

The front spoiler that i might be keeping if i can cut it down a tad.

The rim i was test fitting on the back of my KE70, i think a 245 is the max the rear of a ke70 can handle.

The front lip spoiler didnt fit it was to long so i gave it back.

 

I started on my front adjustable coilover conversion today and pulled the struts apart as much as i could.

 

This is where I'm stuck, That nut at the top of the strut wont undo and when i try and undo it the whole insert turns and its very anoying, Anybody have a suitable way around it ?
