Des Posted January 16, 2007 Author Report Posted January 16, 2007 Didnt like the oil pressure in the dash as i couldnt fit any more gauges in there, So i made my own gauge holder. Doesnt look to bad considering i cut the holes with a grinding bit not a hole saw. Quote
Des Posted January 16, 2007 Author Report Posted January 16, 2007 I started the wiring today and who wants to do it for me ? Quote
Jono Posted January 16, 2007 Report Posted January 16, 2007 (edited) gee that gauge holder looks a bit scratched up! get a wiring diagram - the toyota ones are quite easy to read. Edited January 16, 2007 by JC807 Quote
Des Posted January 16, 2007 Author Report Posted January 16, 2007 It comes off but I'm not going to take it off till i have finished it so. Ive been searching for last 3 - 4 months for the correct wiring diagram with no luck, Toyota can't get me one due to it being a import and the dli bigport gze's arnt to commen so its harder again. Des Posted January 17, 2007 Author Report Posted January 17, 2007 Mmmmmm shiny fuel rail. Very dirty injectors. Can i just clean the injectors with petrol or what ? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Yep, Give them a bath in petrol and wipe them clean, Should come up looking nice.. Quote
Robert Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 Get them cleaned properly at a mechanic, they use a sonic bath thing and it cleans them thoroughly inside and out. :) Quote
Jason Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 (edited) yep get them flow tested :) they clean them aswell, that will give you peice of mind incase one of them isnt fueling enough and makes it lean out Edited January 17, 2007 by Jason Quote
Des Posted January 17, 2007 Author Report Posted January 17, 2007 I'm liking the idea of getting them flow tested and cleaned by a pro but how much would this cost approx ? Keep in mind my tight budget. Quote
Jason Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 cost me 90 and i didnt shop around so you might be able to go cheaper. But i think its really worth it 20+ year old injects Quote
Trev Posted January 17, 2007 Report Posted January 17, 2007 I'm liking the idea of getting them flow tested and cleaned by a pro but how much would this cost approx ? Keep in mind my tight budget. Pete (AE82-6SPD) on TC paid $110 to get his 4x 4AGE injectors bench flow tested, with all new o/rings etc, Not sure where it was from but i can find out, I will be getting mine done shortly Desa so maybe we could hand them 8 injectors and get a cheaper price.
