Also what are you running out the back? I'm kind of at a loss as to what i should do with mine :) yeah the toymods guide is here: "Click" as for the back I'm going to leave it standard for now till i get more money to then get a bigger diff. edi25 Posted November 2, 2006 Report Posted November 2, 2006 the car is coming along very nicely... Would love to see it when its finished :jamie:. should go good too Quote
ChrisGT Posted November 19, 2006 Author Report Posted November 19, 2006 havent been workin on the car much lately because of work and uni but found some time to finishing making my engine mounts. I had to lift the front of the motor so that the alternator dosnt hit the sway bar....do u think the motor is on too much of a slant? Quote
ancullen Posted November 20, 2006 Report Posted November 20, 2006 Pretty sure that's how mine looks too. Hasn't caused any issues that I know of. Quote
ChrisGT Posted November 20, 2006 Author Report Posted November 20, 2006 sweet...so as long as you guys arn't having any problems, then i guess it should be fine. Quote
ancullen Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 My only problem is that mine doesn't look anywhere near as pretty as yours. Quote
Jono Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 i've been told i may have issues with my uni-joint after the gearbox as its has a bit of an angle. I'm going to bash the tranny tunnel up a bit more and raise the back of the gearbox to fix this, i think the motor will level out a bit this way too. Quote
ancullen Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Was your KE35 an auto or manual originally? Quote
ChrisGT Posted November 22, 2006 Author Report Posted November 22, 2006 it was a manual. yeah i would have to bash mine up as well if i wanted to lift the box. i made my engine mounts higher so that the alternator clears the sway bar. Quote
rollacdmd Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006  looking PHAT how long before shes ready mate Quote

ancullen Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 yeah i would have to bash mine up as well if i wanted to lift the box. i made my engine mounts higher so that the alternator clears the sway bar. That's weird, because I don't think my alternator has had any issues with the swaybar, and that's just using Cortina engine mounts. My only issue was that one of the radiator hoses was trapped between the swaybar and the supercharger pulley and was worn away so much that it leaked. Quote
cuzzo Posted November 23, 2006 Report Posted November 23, 2006 Yeah I'm not having any problems with the alt. I'm using custom brackets with modified vl and skyline rubber mounts. Quote
