yeah shit happens. my bmw got every panel keyed twice because of a similar "near" accident. I was angry on the day but soon realised i probably was a little too "in love" with my car, after all: ITS JUST A CAR.

I live on a main road too, had the car for 4 years and i'm sure thousands of people saw me going in and out of my driveway. Its best to accept that stuff may happen to your "pride and joy" or get a garage at home and a job which has secure parking.

after all: ITS JUST A CAR. yea just a car that some people put most of there money into?

And whoever suggested that the guy was probably venting out of his own embarassment is most likely spot on. He probably realised that an accident would have been all his fault, but since you hit your horn, he wanted to pin something on you.

*Proud face*

Like late at night when I have to drive the kids home

How come my manager doesn't do that for me :)

But back on the topic... is it sorted now? You know what you can do, all your options, we've heard a million and one storys relating to whats happened, ideas to prevent it... and the best of all was the legal advice from MissSydneyCruising

I am not sure in what state, but here in NSW we have "office of transport safety reliability regulator" I know they are govt, but I know these guys pretty well, and I ALWAYS report idiots. Takes 2 seconds to get their plate, write it into your mobile and call them when u get home.

Trust me, they do investigate. And especially if its a main part of town, they should have cameras too (at least here they do) so they have proof.

For instance in NSW we have recieved notices from the EPA about our technicians in company cars throwing cigarette butts out hte window. They are first warnings explaining the fines. The complains came from "general public" to quote the EPA. You have rights and you can do something about it.

I would call the local DOT or RTA and ask if something like the regulator is setup in your state.

So, now you not only know what shouldn't happen, and that your not the only poor soul to be victimised as a circumstance of a road rage attack, but you also know the practical thing to do if you really do want to report it.

Problem solvered?

I cop it alot, especially on the freeways coz apparently there's some unwritten law stating that a KE70 corolla shouldn't b able to overtake. I just ignore it, they can piss and moan all they like, unless they're actually hitting my car what do i care, and if u get out with a weapon of ANY description u are asking for trouble, dad did that about 12mths ago to a bunch of guys who tried to carjack him, he threatened them with a bat, they ran off like bitches, and about 2hrs later dad got charged for bein in possesion of a deadly weapon.

I'd either ignore it, or like misssydneycruisin said, contact the appropriate authourities :y:

P.S. don't take there photo, it wont stand up in court coz u havent asked them permission or told them your takin there photo, and your likely to piss them off more
