Neonasty Posted June 18, 2007 Report Posted June 18, 2007 Ive got a spare V6 lieing around now. I should clean it up and get myself a small Corolla to put it in. :) I doubt the transmission would fit without some major beating though. think I'll finish the currrent project first though. :D
NickZ Posted June 23, 2007 Author Report Posted June 23, 2007 Fitted adjustable camber tops. Finished polishing the wheels and put on the center caps on. Hard to see the camber in the pics
NickZ Posted June 23, 2007 Author Report Posted June 23, 2007 It always did handle ok was no different from a standard rolla, But now it handles like is on rails. But i havent done too much driving in is so far, Spent most of the time sideways :P
Taz_Rx Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 Saw the Merc sitting out the front the other day, looks pretty neat! Should build that thing up as a burnout beast!! turn a few heads :P Are those camber tops for a rolla or something else? what brand are they?
NickZ Posted June 24, 2007 Author Report Posted June 24, 2007 S13 Cusco strut tops, had to slot the tower holes about 1mm each, not much at all really, the top bolts from the s13 is the same thread aswell so it all bolts together. the Merc is cool cruising car, i advertised it but no calls yet.
NickZ Posted July 10, 2007 Author Report Posted July 10, 2007 (edited) New struts coming RA60 vented disks, i also bought new coilover kit to fit to them. should be in by the weekend i hope if all the parts turn up, want to take this thing out on a track day, so i thought vented disk was a better idea than just the RA40 upgrade. the Pad area looks bigger than a ra40 too first pic is of a standard KE30 setup. I will have to extend the LCA as others have done as this setup has positive camber. but i do have the camber tops to so with everthing i should have a very adjustable camber angles Edited July 10, 2007 by NickZ
kangaroosa Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 Are those camber tops for a rolla or something else? what brand are they? I purchased my springs from these blokes years ago. I was browing their online parts section and found these interesting items. GT Suspension They have a heap of listings for corollas in all the different companies listed. Koni, Noltec, Whiteline, Lovells etc. They are not the cheapest, but they are in Melb (not overseas) and are pleasant to deal with. Theres also a few items on there that i didnt realise existed for corollas.
NickZ Posted August 4, 2007 Author Report Posted August 4, 2007 Well....thinks have happend. Full update coming for both cars

lappy Posted August 5, 2007 Report Posted August 5, 2007 do you have any pics of the crossmember without the engine mounts on?
NickZ Posted October 28, 2007 Author Report Posted October 28, 2007 Went to a local Drift Practice day, did ok, got better as the day went on, This was my first time drifting. The car had no troubles drifting, the driver did :D I did get some good angle and linking happening. Had plenty of power, just left it in 3rd and used the throttle to over steer, never touched the handbrake, my reactions arnt fast enough, not as young as i used to be. Any time i had understeer i just punched the throttle and it would go where the wheels where pointing.
leigh Posted October 28, 2007 Report Posted October 28, 2007 Very impressive Nick! :D It looks good with the ass hanging out!
racebitz Posted August 2, 2008 Report Posted August 2, 2008 Did you have to mod the sump to fit or is it straight drop in?
