JiP Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Help!! I keep losing Windows media player and i was wondering how to stop it. Whenever I open it it goes east-------------->>> It goes completly off the screen. I never knew that my computer could do that or was set up to have another monitor. Any help would be great as i do not have another monitor to find it and can't see where it is located?? Quote
rolla_stewy Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 u can alway reinstall it it might just be the settings Quote
MissSydneyCruising Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 if you right click on your desktop, and go through the tabs, it should give you settings for two monitors. turn it off :P Quote
JiP Posted August 7, 2006 Author Report Posted August 7, 2006 Hmm, i've just gone into that section and had a look but can't see how i'd turn it off. I found WMP the other day. I clicked on the full screen button so i wont lose it again. I think this just means i'm gonna have to get myself a new monitor (since this one is playing up) and a second monitor to match ;) Quote
Dan Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Orrrr... just reload windows like you should have aaaages ago! Quote

Wood§tok Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 what graphics card do you have? ie nvidia or ATI? but generally it should be a checkbox for "extend my desktop over both screens" or something along those lines. cheers. Quote
JiP Posted August 8, 2006 Author Report Posted August 8, 2006 It has a check box to deactivate it but it is uncheckable. ??? Quote
Wood§tok Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 do you have two monitors? if not, go into the settings of the vid card and turn off duel view/clone or anything along those lines. if your computer doesnt have two screens you can't loose things off the desktop. Quote
