ancullen Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Spec R turbo??? WTF are you on about now???
wasfishing Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Vtec Yo i dunno i want a GTR r32 mmmmm might be gettin a loan and a 4wd then sell the foubie after the wet
ancullen Posted November 16, 2007 Report Posted November 16, 2007 Why the fark would you want to do that? It'd just be a good way to waste a lot of money. An R32 GT-R would be cool. What would you do with the AW11 if you had a GT-R though? Surely you'd want to improve the GT-R (who could resist?).
wasfishing Posted November 17, 2007 Report Posted November 17, 2007 the only option for the mr2 if i got a gtr (not likely) would be to spend shit loads on it and make it a track weapon Did i mention i hav a engine in my rx7 now orrr fark yea so cooll i wana here that brapping goodness
ancullen Posted November 18, 2007 Report Posted November 18, 2007 Supercharged AW11's can't be used in Improved Production racing without heavy restrictions - just in case you were considering that option.
wasfishing Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 what how come???? what restrictions????
ancullen Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Because it was never sold in Australia as a new model. So if you went to race it, it MIGHT be allowed in as the AW11's were sold here, but because it would only be counted as coming standard with a 1.6L NA motor, the supercharger would be considered a modification. Forced induction that isn't completely factory, with factory airbox, intake, etc, requires an air restrictor before the supercharger/turbocharger. I think it's a 34mm air resrictor. With such a restriction the 4A-GZE would be rendered useless. A 4A-GTE would make far better sense as an IP car. BUT because we haven't got enough cars up here, there's only a Under-2L and an Over-2L class. A 1.6L car with forced induction is counted as a 2.7L car (1.7 times engine capacity) for IP purposes. So you'd be taking on V8's and rotaries with an effective capacity of only 2.7L. So a 3S-GTE suddenly becomes a FAR better option. You'd still only make a max of 340hp (at the engine) with a restrictor though.
wasfishing Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 if i had to compete with the v8's n rotors i think a rotor aw11 would be a beter option anyone say 13B BP aw11?
Killswitch Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 ahaha, if only it was sports sedans you could! I think thats the class where pretty much anything goes anyway. f@$ken... need a job :lolcry:
ancullen Posted November 19, 2007 Report Posted November 19, 2007 Sports sedans are COOL!!! If anyone's interested in an apprenticeship with Carrier Airconditioning as a Airconditioning Electrician, contact me and I'll pass the contact details onto you. They need two desperately, to start ASAP!!! Wouldn't be a bad job and I presume it could pay a fair bit once you're qualified - I know of a few companies that have required airconditioning repairs after hours. Overtime anyone??? :lolcry:
wasfishing Posted November 20, 2007 Report Posted November 20, 2007 Rx7 radiator anyone??? yes i badly need one
