Pure-SX Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 I would of course still supply a majority of the bigger parts Eg: Ecu, Turbo, I/C, Manifold, Plenum and a few other things. Less parts I supply more money Dave will ultimately get.

ancullen Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 He'd probably just smack you in the head and tell you you're dreaming. Less reputable places might try to stifle their massive grin when they realise just how badly they could rip you off.
Pure-SX Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 I was leaning more along of the lines of what Adam said lol. But yeah. I think I might get a few more things. And save a little. In the mean time go into Hi-Tech and have a chat and let him no my intentions. Find out approx how much. What sort of deposit would be needed or whatever. I just want it done and not have to worry. He has once quoted me close on $5,000 for a rebuild inc pistons. I don't think rods were in there but I have been researching the SPOOL rods and have heard great things. So yeah I reckon if I got most of the big things out of the way. Have him organise the rebuild of the motor, have him tune it, have him set the turbo system up(lines etc) and maybe intercooler piping. I reckon it might end up costing me up to $7,500ish but yeah won't know till I see him.
Killswitch Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Why exactly do you want a FWD turbo monster again?
Pure-SX Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 Meh, I like the car, be different and god help me I prefer FWD over RWD?
wasfishing Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 so he can torque steer clenaest supra kit eva http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...=0&trecs=37
Killswitch Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 Meh, I like the car, be different and god help me I prefer FWD over RWD? Fair enough dude, as long as you're going to end up with what you actually want!
Pure-SX Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 I wouldn't be doing if it wasn't what I wanted lol. Trying to beef up the biceps, ain't one for the gym or weights, my idea, Torque Steer = Tickets to the gun show :) But yeah :y: Just want it done.
ancullen Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 clenaest supra kit eva http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...=0&trecs=37 That's pretty neat. Do-Luck seem to do nicer kits than many other brands. Plus those wheels look good too. Engine bay looks a tad boring, but sounds like sensible mods. I wouldn't be doing if it wasn't what I wanted lol. Trying to beef up the biceps, ain't one for the gym or weights, my idea, Torque Steer = Tickets to the gun show :) But yeah :y: Just want it done. Good to know you've decided on what you want. And you're going to scare yourself silly with torque steer - it's a horrible, horrible thing. Equal length driveshafts FTW!
wasfishing Posted March 11, 2008 Report Posted March 11, 2008 i love the rear bar trial bar mmmm i want if only i had the $$$ torque steeris um fun :) had it for a while
Pure-SX Posted March 11, 2008 Author Report Posted March 11, 2008 Yeah true true. I plan to somewhat remedy Torque Steer with an LSD of some sort. I have just had a brain fart. Do any of the E-Series boxes come with Equal length driveshaft set ups?
