Pure-SX Posted January 30, 2008 Author Report Posted January 30, 2008 Pity the nimbus's gearbox didnt hold up ever ;) Adam quoted me for a few 1.5way LSD's I think the cheapest being like 900 most expensive being 1300
ancullen Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Yeah, KAAZ aren't cheap, but they're meant to be quality. It also depends on where you source the parts. Tweakit aren't especially cheap. I got prices on a stroker crank and cams for the 4A-GZE this morning (finally). :bash: Basically the 4A-GE Production Race Head Package in the link but with a stroker crank as well. LINK: http://www.tedcomponents.com/power.htm. Just realised that I'd misread the stroker crank info though. ;) I thought they got 1796cc using 81mm or 83mm bore. Turns out that these are the different stroke measurements. So to get 1796cc with either kit, I'd have to change pistons, which I didn't want to do. However, as the stroker kit (with pistons) is only $3,000 Canadian, it's not too bad (considering a Speed Racer 1900cc kit is about $10,000). Hmm, I'll have to consider this some more.
wasfishing Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 i polished my car...... and my miniture turbo turned up?
ancullen Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Miniature turbo??? Do you have an RC car or something?
Sirolla[RL] Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 i've semi-decided...20v blacktop! ;) And no comments from Adam, i know how you dislike 20v's.
ancullen Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 The fact that Toyota brought out a factory motor with a throttle per cylinder is cool (very BMW-ish). I too would like a 20v at some point, but am more than happy with 4A-GZE's for now. Do you really want to get a proper FX-GT and then ruin it's historical significance by fitting a 20v though? A Group A spec 16v would be far more appropriate.

wasfishing Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 my water pump looks like a mini turbo, or a turbo off a 3sgte
Pure-SX Posted January 31, 2008 Author Report Posted January 31, 2008 All in all its his choice ;) How much are they to import? I wouldn't think all that much, finding them would be the hard part?
ancullen Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 my water pump looks like a mini turbo, or a turbo off a 3sgte Oh, THAT miniature turbo. And the GT-Four's turbo is plenty big, thanks very much. Which reminds me, sometime I've got to give Daven a ride in it. yep! don't care what you say ;) You know your world revolves around me and everything I say. Oh well, if you don't care what I say then I may as well not bother showing you the GT-Four. :bash:
Pure-SX Posted January 31, 2008 Author Report Posted January 31, 2008 Its not that exciting, most exciting bit is when you sit in the leather seats and thats about it really. Just a celica with a fancy motor and A MASSIVE WING! ;)
