ancullen Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 I'm dropping the 4A-GE into the KE70 on Monday. :)
Pure-SX Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) Which ke70? You bought BJ's? I was thinking one of the HKS 1.6mm or 2mm ones. Just trying to figure out what the compression would drop to. By memory I think the 20V one is 1.6mm stock meaning I would have to go the 2mm. But yeah not sure Picking up the turbo/ecu tonight YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY Edit: I believe the stock 20V HG is either 1.6mm or 1.2mm Edited January 25, 2008 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Stock 20v head gasket might be 1.6mm, but that would be a non-metal head gasket, so it'd would compress FAR more than a metal one, meaning it is a lot thinner with the head tightened down than a metal one. You'd probably find a 1.6mm metal one would do the trick. And yes, I'm buying BJ's KE70 - just gotta get the money together.
Pure-SX Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 Yeah true about the HG compressing more, You gave me a price on a 1.6mm metal HG ages ago able to dig it up? Which KE70 you putting a 4age into then?
Guest Sbox Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) If anyone has or knows of stuffed T50 gearbox's lurking around and they are givers, I will take them. The new 4k is a "High Cam", man am I gonna go......................as fast as I did before. Edited January 25, 2008 by Sbox

When you die, make sure that your will stipulates you are buried in a car shaped coffin (Bet you won't be able to make your mind up as to which shape of car). Edited January 25, 2008 by Sbox
Pure-SX Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 HAHAHAHAHA lol Man its hard trying to work out how all the piping will go in your head lol.

Which KE70 you putting a 4age into then? I'm pretty sure a 1.6mm was about $150 + postage. Can't be certain and I don't think I stored the price/supplier info anywhere. Remind me another time when I'm less busy and I'll get it for you. The KE70 is the one BJ was turning into a drift car. If anyone has or knows of stuffed T50 gearbox's lurking around and they are givers, I will take them. The new 4k is a "High Cam", man am I gonna go......................as fast as I did before. It turns out that the guy that wanted the input shaft (that you're turning into a clutch alignment tool) DIDN'T want the input shaft - he wants the output shaft as his was bent when his driveshaft came apart - could I grab it off you when you've pulled the T50 apart? man y do u need a tow vehicle??? and i think a v8 superchared audi would be more pimp can't think og n e thin else atm bowell are releasing a new car they will be using a twin supercharged v8 toyota motor I need a tow vehicle for racing. I really need a ute, but I'd really like a Toyota V8. Will probably just get a Hilux. Audi's are super pimp - especially A6's and A8's (I prefer the S6, RS6, and S8 though). If you haven't seen it yet, sometime you need to watch Ronin - it's got two AWESOME chase scenes - one using an Audi S8, a Mercedes (mmm, burnout in reverse) and some Citroens, and the other chase has a BMW M5 and a Peugeot. When you die, make sure that your will stipulates you are buried in a car shaped coffin (Bet you won't be able to make your mind up as to which shape of car). I don't want to be buried. Any remaining working organs are to be used for people that need them. My remains shall be cremated and spread over Bathurst through the exhaust of a Phase III GTHO. :)
Pure-SX Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 (edited) Cheers mate What a way to go :) Ronin is a damn good movie  Edited January 25, 2008 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 It's definitely my favourite car chase in a movie, just because you can see how they did it and how professionally it was done. Bullitt with Steve McQueen is a VERY close second - mainly because of the awesome sound track during the chase - the sound of a small block Mustang and a big block Charger. :) I've also bought 'The French Connection' 1 & 2, so I'll be watching them sometime soon. Apparently the first movie has an excellent car chase.
Pure-SX Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 The french connection is a good couple of movies also. The transport series has a few also, even though they are a little unrealistic, the car more then makes up for it  I remember seeing a movie recently was kinda crap, was about to flick over and watch something else, but a car chase started with the BMW V8 with ITB's can't remember model atm, I watched the car chase then flicked over :)

Too late, dumped. While I was doing that I also accidently threw out my AE71 tailshaft, luckily Andrew won't be using his so he has given me dibs on it. I don't want to be buried. Any remaining working organs are to be used for people that need them. I bought the Second American Civil war and you can pick a copy up on the way home Adam. Edited January 25, 2008 by Sbox

Because there's such a great risk of a GTHO racing with the current V8 Supercars... :) I bought the Second American Civil war and you can pick a copy up on the way home Adam. That's not the one with Beau Bridges in it, is it? I saw that on TV once - kinda funny, but then it ends in a really weird place. Maybe because Phil Hartman was killed during the making or something.
wasfishing Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 right i don't know any on those movie execpt transporter, i want a four door drift car tehy look so pimp dunno y they just do
