Pure-SX Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 (edited) Hrrm looks good. and...... Front swaybar is now on. Had to have the exhaust dropped. The friggen thing handles on rails now :drgrim: and whats this for Adam? Edited January 10, 2008 by Pure-SX
ancullen Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Nice - I'm VERY glad you're happy with your new suspension. 20v issues sorted out yet??? And I'm looking at getting a fibreglass front end for the KE55 - it's not getting registered anyway, plus it'll lighten the car rather significantly and improve the weight distribution no end. And last night I made arrangements to get near new Sierra shocks for the rear end, AE86 struts and shocks for the front, and Yokohama Advans for all four corners - just need to swap for RX7 front calipers and adaptor brackets.
Pure-SX Posted January 10, 2008 Author Report Posted January 10, 2008 Very nice... How much? (lots?) :drgrim: 20V issues seem to be sorted, just a case of the car sitting for awhile thats all. Leads were a little loose, put a healthy(EXPENSIVE) lot of fuel in and good to go. Ultimate/Premium is the expensivezors fuel
ancullen Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 Try running a GT-Four!!! It's got a 64L tank, and uses (at best) 15L of fuel per 100km!!! I've barely cracked 400km off a tank!!! With Shell Premium at $1.54/L it costs me over $90 per tank!!! That's about $0.23/km!!! And people wonder why I don't drive it much. The few times I get to drive the KE55 I use BP Ultimate for the track and Shell Premium for play (motorkhanas etc).
wasfishing Posted January 10, 2008 Report Posted January 10, 2008 hahaha i hav to run premium at least might stick ultimate in and see how it goes car is at l and s for the day woohooo and adam sumthing fishy about the strut braces the front one is fixed and the rear is the adjustable?? i thought it was ment to be the other way around....
ancullen Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 The rear one is the supercharged version, and I've got a funny feeling that it's the weaker one, even though it's adjustable. I'm certain all the part numbers were correct and the types were the ones you specifically requested. So Koni's and Eibach's are going in today then? Cool bananas. That'll be two of you with nice suspension setups, and mine will improve soon along with the brakes - on the KE55 anyway, the GT-Four already has excellent suspension. Superstruts FTW!!! :fuzz:
ancullen Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Forgot to mention, the annual Australia Day ute run will be happening again this year. I'll be going along to lend a hand. There's not a huge amount of work involved. Just rock up on the day and take money at the gate or help out with one of the competitions (thong throwing, push-a-ute, and best dressed pet I think). Would one or two of you be interested in joining me? Not much to do but I'm sure the help would be appreciated.

Those are the ones I ordered, as requested. I really don't think adjustability would be of much use to you anyway. I didn't condone street races at all......... Silly P plater in his fart cannon lancer :bash: LOL - I saw an old high school friend in his green VY ute last night. I was in the black Corolla, so I sat up his arse as we entered a roundabout. As he exited, he gave it hell, as did I. It turns out this thing wasn't THAT quick. It was quicker than the Corolla, but I reckon the ST205 would have hosed it. Sounded awesome though. As was the burnout he did at the next roundabout. :fuzz:
Pure-SX Posted January 11, 2008 Author Report Posted January 11, 2008 Lol I still am trying to find the "limit" when it comes to the current suspension. I am yet to find it :fuzz:
ancullen Posted January 11, 2008 Report Posted January 11, 2008 Have a good weekend all (except Stephen). :fuzz:
