Raven Posted November 25, 2007 Author Report Posted November 25, 2007 So I got a little further today.... The roof lining was fun to remove, thats for sure haha and that sealant is sticky shit. It goes EVERYWHERE! Quote
7shades Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Thinners gets rid of it with a bit of a rub... but kero just dissolves the crap into an easily removable liquid. Wipes off. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted November 25, 2007 Report Posted November 25, 2007 Screw staying there all day trying to get it off with thinners, Just wire wheel it off.. It does stuff the wheels but they are cheap as to buy.. So the project begins :P Quote

Raven Posted November 25, 2007 Author Report Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) When I've researched that, I'll let you know, but I'm looking for something moulded and I think tru-fit do the moulded carpets. :P Edited November 25, 2007 by Raven Quote
Raven Posted December 2, 2007 Author Report Posted December 2, 2007 More dismantling was done yesterday  Next weekend I'll pull out the dash, rest of the stereo, and maybe whip off the bumpers and tail lights :D Quote
Raven Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 (edited) A little more progress..... That trick with the kero works wickedly by the way. You'll see a front windscreen pic and see where I haven't cleaned yet. Whats left of my dash pad. Was a little difficult to get my hands up behind the dash, but manged to in the end. :( You can see along the top of the windscreen where i hadn't quite cleaned yet. This was due to my shoulder/arm problem giving me grief, so I only did a minor amount of work today. Enjoy! Edited December 9, 2007 by Raven Quote
Medicine_Man Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 Good to see it coming along, keep at it! Quote
KE30_KE35_KE55 Posted December 9, 2007 Report Posted December 9, 2007 It looks quite clean for its age, I look forward to seeing the progress in the next few weeks. Quote
Raven Posted December 9, 2007 Author Report Posted December 9, 2007 The only major rust is around the r/h rear quarter window frame and a bit in the roof. rear quarters have some rust as well as the front guards. The doors arent tooo bad I guess. I'm happy that there is bugger all rust around the edge of the front and rear screens though. Quote
