anastasios Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 nothing wrong with a good 5k, i rekon my one will give most 100kw ge cars a run for their money Quote
Raven Posted March 19, 2007 Author Report Posted March 19, 2007 (edited) Definitely looking forward to getting the 5K in the coupe eventually once its been painted. Should read something like this: Toyota 5K Motor Some Sort of Cam Regrind Twin DHLA40 Dellorto Carbs 5K Electronic Ignition Extractors Sports Exhaust Providing my extractors which I paid for show up. I haven't heard anything about them yet. Edited March 19, 2007 by Raven Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Nice combo should get a bit of a headwork and shave for more compression so it matches mine lol. Best bet that combo though i reckon for an early ke. Quote
Medicine_Man Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Yeah, Get the head shaved at a bare minimum for a worked N/A K motor.. Quote
Raven Posted March 20, 2007 Author Report Posted March 20, 2007 (edited) Yeah that was also my plan to bump up the compression. I would like to hit the 140HP mark if at all possible. Electronic Ignition rocks. Car revs out better now :D Edited March 20, 2007 by Raven Quote
Raven Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 and once again my friggin' bonnet comes up. I'm really getting annoyed now. Glad this annoying freakin' car will be off the road in two weeks! :D Quote
Des Posted March 27, 2007 Report Posted March 27, 2007 (edited) Not having much luck with the coupe are ya Mick, Might be time to sell it to me :D Edited March 27, 2007 by AE70 Quote
Raven Posted March 27, 2007 Author Report Posted March 27, 2007 My extractors arrived today too. Will also upload a pic of them tomorrow. They're in pretty good nick  Quote
Raven Posted April 14, 2007 Author Report Posted April 14, 2007 So my extractors arrived (bit of a late update). D. McKiggan was a great help in a bonnet support rod. Now contemplating flush-mount bonnet pins too for that race-look. Quote
Raven Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 And the KE25 is off the road! Blown head gasket is the cause. Will be getting the panl van on the road ASAP. Quote
Felix Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 (edited) Not good. No big drama though. Cost $44 for a head skim, plus head and manifold gaskets when the one on the ke16 went. Add 2 oil filters and 2 lots of oil, for if your sump filled with water. I got an 8 litre thickshake out of the sump. Mmmm, lots of yummy goodness. :jamie: Edited May 3, 2007 by Felix Quote
Raven Posted May 3, 2007 Author Report Posted May 3, 2007 Lol. Motor is too far gone to go and worry about fixing it. Have a massive front oil seal leak and it burns oil like there's no tomorrow, so it's officially off the road as of tonight. :jamie: Quote
CD_rollaman Posted May 3, 2007 Report Posted May 3, 2007 Do you want to bump up working on the Pano to tomorrow? Quote
