Hiro Protagonist Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 What the f@$k is with these guys??Outlaw the haka from Rugby games?? They want to outlaw a New Zealand NATIONAL ICON coz of the 'throat-slitting' move?? WTF?? Its a piece of history, you inconsiderate motherf@$kers!! Get over it!! :lolcry: I'm not a Kiwi... But this is bullshit!! It may be a piece of history, but they seem to be coming up with "new" versions of it all the time. The throat slitting motion is one of these, and has dubious background and reason for being included. I personally think the Haka was ruined when they stopped doing the jump at the end, as well as when Tane Randall would go out the front of the whole team and lead by example. And the push isn't for the Haka itself to be removed, but some of the violent images within it to be toned down or removed (it IS a war dance afterall). Quote
Corolla_Gurl Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 what a load of shit.....the haka is a new zealand tridation. its like our heritage. sum tosser has just taken it too far. who the f@$k would think of sick shit like that in the first place. (slitting of throat) The chant is more about calling on the Maori gods to help and protect them ect not about brtually savagly killing people. Quote
JiP Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 (edited) The world is full of unfairness and their is nothing we can really do about it. Take what was on the news tonight... Johnny Howard says no to an extra $30 per week for minimum wage earners, yet did him and the other pollies recently get themselves an extra $30k a year?? Nothing is fair. Dan Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 The hakas throat slitting motions just back up the emotion. Anyway, if they ban any part of the haka, they'll be pretty much f@$ked, the way i see it. Quote
Fayt Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 its a harmless friggin dance ffs.... these people wanting it banned need to get over it and worry about more important issues in the world Quote
irokin Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Publicity stunt....more people than ever will be watching the rugby to see this "controversial" new haka. woop tee doo Quote
Clown Posted July 31, 2006 Report Posted July 31, 2006 We live in a world where everyone wants stuff banned. Movies, music, tv shows, now this. Quote
