Anyone Else A Linux Hoe?

I gave up on windows a few weeks ago and moved completely to linux. Its a bit more challenging to get everything working just the way youre used to but with a bit of perseverance Ive got it pretty much just how I like it.

BTW its just an XP theme if you hadnt guessed. Ive got mac OSX ones and just generic fluxbox themes too.

only real drawback is no mainstream games. I'm thinking about trying VMware with windows installed for games....meh later

linux runs internet a LOT faster as most servers are linux.

Its not so much server compatability as the fact theres no proprietary code like microsuck. Besides windows is bloatware... 1hr to install? pfft took me less than 10 minutes to install slackware (minus the time I spent sorting out my SATA drives).

I find you really have to commit to it completely...otherwise you end up back in windows a week later.

comparing two identical machines and identical connections, linux is always faster over the net.

I use Mac OS X. "Like Linux".. but better looking... and no f@$king around to get things working... and the hardware is sex.

Ive got things against OSX.... Correct me if I'm wrong but they took the linux code, spiced it up a bit and now flog it for money. Pfft thats just not cricket...

 

Its still a very nice OS regardless
