Hard Starting When Cold

Hi all,

Having trouble with the KE70 i'v had it for about 1 year. The other day i went to leave work about 3.00pm and all the car did was turn over it didnt want to start. I finally got it started. But everyime i want to start the car when its cold all it does is turn over but if it starts and i drive around and come back in an hour it will start no worries but if i leave it for a few hours it wont start. I have changed the fuel pump with a new 1 but this makes no difference, and the battery is good, i have check for spark and no problems there. I dnt know what to do.

Anyone with any idea's.

check your timing!! if its too far advanced that will cause you problems trying to start it!!

Pump the throttle for ten or fifteen seconds before you start it... if it still doesn't start, check your timing like Taz_rx said.

Do KE70's have a choke?? If so you might wanna try using that when your ride is cold.

Yeah it has a choke for it to start it has to be out the whole way, but i'm gonna get a timing light and check the timing. I clean the carbi that made a difference to idle and smoother driving but not when starting.

The timing has been adjusted and the car starts 1st time without pumping just a bit of choke. Was out by a bit now it run's better than ever. Thanks for all the help. :lolcry:
