better off with one from a twinky

dam it looks better than mine and the top mount wont go on with the brace there.mine is a 1 piece 2 point brace. the answer is a front mount and keep the brace. :jamie:

i was goin for a front mount anyway this top mount has all the fins pushed aside and probably wont cool much and a top mount wont fit under my bonnet unless i get out the grinder. :jamie:

It depends on what model ae82. Cause the twinky was the only one that came with the factory brace, the other models you'll have to drill and tap the mounting holes on the firewall for the brace to bolt too.

 

Otherwise buy aftermarket or DIY one yourself. The one i made that goes strut to strut the bar came from a late model lancer.

nope mine is a sohc version and it has the holes there.this is a pic of the brace I'm wanting to use on it.post-1746-1153294488.jpg

:jamie: well with the front mount u will have some lag as it has a longer path to the tb

 

i personally would just upgrade the top mount, but i will say this again its personal choice as to what u do. :lol:

i have ask around and they all have said that if i use a front mount about the same size and do my piping carefully it shouldnt lag very much.

like i said entirely ur choice mate, i going on what others have done and said. anyways good luck on the conversion. oh and did u end up with a afm or map 4agze

air flow metre. i found a map engine but it ran like a bag of shit and had to many bits missing

yea 4afc the previous owner did a pointless conversion a bit better than a 4ac
