yeah it works like a dream. the idiots at VICroads didn't suspect a thing when we went to change the engine number lol.

well that sux for me as it just cost me $600 all up to get mine engineered with a 5k. But you get that.

Any pwer figures and are you still using the NOS aswell because it would not only cool the inlet charge. but give it a crazy amount of power two. forged piston are prob your next purchase if not already.

Bumping this thread up as I have been offered a rebuilt 7k..

Looking at putting this into my ke20 and after reading this thread one thing is still shady to me... engine mounts. Does anyone know if there are any direct bolt up or minimum modifications for engine mounts??

You talking about the 7k on ebay?

If so then I think thats actually THE engine Matt had, and started this thread about. Its been sold like 3x times now and never been fitted to a car.

Ok here the dilemma,i advertised my 5Kmotor and carbies, someone is keen as for it but NOW i am having second thoughts about selling it cause everwhere i read people are saying that it is too much work to fit the 7K in.

Can someone tell me what the go is.

Hi, It is a very simple conversion to a 7K. Flywheel clutch. gearbox , bolt straight in. The difference is the motor is taller and you must cut the sump to fit over over the x member. I have been running one in my KE15 for 3 years with no problems with sprinter twin carbys. Hope this will help.

hey guys new to this site and will be posting some picks of my car soon. i have a ke11 with a 7k 5speed manual and the only change i had to make if you a really good with a dolly and pannel beating hammer you can make enough room inbetween the cross member and sump and it fits fine, just have to be paitent and tap away slowly move the metal around to the desired place.
