JiP Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 I'm assuming that you'd have to do abit of rewiring with what ever you plan on putting in its place. Quote
ROLLLA Posted October 11, 2007 Author Report Posted October 11, 2007 what did those indicators come off? i was thinking bout usin VX indicators on my 55' and boggin up the recess to make it flat. do they have a different connection to the corolla one? and also did u have to modify the hole in the qauter panel? They came off the VX series statesman and all i done was cut and connect the positive and negative wires. I then just double sided taped them onto the guards... Anyway I'm taking the auto to get a shift kit put in tonight. He is also going to replace the oil pump in the tranny so it shifts harder. The tranny will get serviced and any bands that need replacing will be replaced. I don't want the auto coming out for a while once its in so its better i do this now. The mounts will be tackled this weekend providing it doesnt rain. And if it does, well i guess i might have to put a tarp up. Once the mounts are done and tranny x member done this weekend then all i need to do is measure up the length of the tailshaft so i can get that made to suit. Then next weekend will be dedicated to spraying the bay and running the wiring loom. And if ive got time ill slap the running gear in too. See what happens ay. Quote

ROLLLA Posted October 15, 2007 Author Report Posted October 15, 2007 Today i bought a skyline R31 diff to replace the standard rolla diff. It has 3.89 gearing and will be fitted with a LSD center or spool. Started grinding off exess mounts that are not needed and will be welding the spring locater from the old diff. Heres some pix and clearance pix of the bay. note i need to still raise the passenger side mount a bit to level the engine and tranny. Quote
