demuire Posted May 18, 2004 Report Posted May 18, 2004 Tires for what purpose? My Firestone SZ50's (what are on the front of the red car and all round my white one) are $85 each, 185/60R14. If I'm not mistaken Toyo semi slicks are about $190 or so each. Quote
mumblezzz Posted May 18, 2004 Author Report Posted May 18, 2004 Yeah I was looking for more up market tires. I've been looking at the $120 - $150 range Azenis ST-115, Potenza GIII, Yokohama A539 etc Hmm wonder how much a set of A032R is??? :) Quote
Super Jamie Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 barum brilliants from kmart $37 each :) all my friends who have dunlop fm901s think they are the best tyres in the world, i'll probably get a set of them when it comes time to spend money on rubber Quote
ae71neo Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 In the wheels tyre test bf goodrich gforce sport i think they are called were the best. the price they said was $144 but they were for 195/55/15. They seem pretty good. If not them i would go yoko A539s, dunlop fm901s or potenza gIII's. Quote

Super Jamie Posted May 19, 2004 Report Posted May 19, 2004 there was actually a story on this the other day on one of the news programs...apparently the way to go if you want some good cheap burn *cough* out *cough* tyres :) down here, all the tyre shops except kmart just leave their old tires around the side or out the back in a designated area and get them picked up once a fortnight/month/whatever. it's quite common for people to go at night and get some burnout tires (or hell, street tires if yours are worse!) for free. saves the shops having to pay to dump them *shrug* Quote
mumblezzz Posted May 19, 2004 Author Report Posted May 19, 2004 pfft. I'd never do a thing like that.... Quote
