JiP Posted July 14, 2006 Author Report Posted July 14, 2006 **ANOTHER LIGHTING PROBLEM** Last night I was driving home from my brothers place on a quiet back road when I turned my beams on. I haven't had beams for a long time so I wanted to use them. Another car was approaching beyond the hill so I turned my beams off. When I did I lost all my dash lights for approximately two seconds. This has never happened before. I'm beginning to think that its the new stalk. Cause when i first installed it and i was testing the light, when i switched the beams off i lost my headlights for a couple seconds. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?? Quote
irokin Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 I had that in my KE70 for a while. Dash lights would go out intermittantly (parkers are on the same circuit so they go out as well :lolcry:). I don't know what the problem was but it hasnt come back since Teddy almost completely stripped my dash out for the manual conversion. I THINK it may have been dirty contacts somewhere in the stalk (because of something I did to try and fix it). Quote
Dan Posted July 15, 2006 Report Posted July 15, 2006 Perhaps there is a dodgy connection in the wiring where the indicator/wiper cluster connects with the loom?? Or maybe a short in the actual cluster itself? Quote
JiP Posted July 25, 2006 Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 I saw an Auto sparky today. He fixed it for $110.00 Twas the parking relay and he had to take the switch apart and repair it. :P Quote
