hey guys, just a quick question. Was playing around with my ke70's front suspension the other day (putting in new stuff), and since then i've had the "(o) Brake" warning light on my dash lighting up (when I'm driving etc - continuous). Thought it was the fluid level so topped it up, but its still there. Could i have tightened up the caliper too much or the bolts that hold the disk in place or something?

Is someone able to have a squiz in their owner's manual (didnt have one when i bought my car) and let me know what this is?

The dash warning lights are as follows:

"charge" - battery

Oil - self explanitory

(0) Brake - this is the one I'm after

Park Brake

Fuel

Thanks in advance

It would be due to pressure in the lines, (^^^ do what he said) On your brake booster you should see a wire coming out of where the brake lines do that and that is more than likely where the warning is coming from.

isn't the break warning light on a 70 directly proportional to the sensor in the lid of the brake fluid reservoir ~ low fluid ?

ive never really looked into it to be honest.

:hmm: Oh Teddy, I still love you, even after all this time!

Have you tried bleeding the brakes?
Havent bled them yet lappy as I'm going to have to do them again when i actually put the suspension in (as opposed to stuffing around, getting frustrated, and just putting it back together). Think there is a small leak also so gotta tighten up the lines. I'm thinking it may be pressusre on the lines as the peddle is a tad soft, so i'll bleed them, top up the fluid and that should sort them out :hmm: (and no I'm not driving it at the moment ;) ).

Thanks guys, and i'll post up once the problem is solved! :y:

My light is on continuisly because i took 1 strut and the diff out and it doesnt have much fluid in the system so once i do the other strut and bleed the brakes it will be ok

It could be also the sensor on the brake booster, if you've knocked the wires off the sensor, the light normally comes on the whole time. Well....it does in the 55's.

Nah, think it was just the levels as i'd gone for a drive and the light was still on. Took the rim off the next day and there was fluid in the arches, so there was a slight leak  Bled the brakes, tOpped it up and got all the hoses good now and the light has gone. So yeah, i'd say its safe to assume it relates to the level of the fluid and not the pressure in the hoses or anything! thanks for all those that had input :jamie:
