hmmm got some work done yesty (27th)

 

installed the new pioneer cd player (thanks mother!!),

fixed up the carpet so it all sits better, tightened up the dash and other ratterly bits.

 

picked up 2 nice cloth seats out of a KE36 panelvan, got em home and they had custom brackets on em and where way off for the "30..

i got the passenger side in good, drivers side has a stupid nob where you can adjust the hight of the seat, so thats being ripped out later today,and some brackets made to fit.

 

also found some 1cm thick spacers, got them on the front atm, dunno if there legal but i noticed a small difference in steering, bit more stable..probably cause of the wider track??

Getting a stone tray in good condition off a fella down hobart way,

also getting a dent and rust free passenger front panel from a ke36 (same as ke30 guards right?) in white from local wreckers, along with a drivers side one from a ke55 in good condition.

 

also going to pick up the RA40 celica struts and brakes, lower arms and steering arms...

 

hopefully this friday the car will go in for a full service, and get the dizzy fixed, hopefully thats my powerloss problem.

 

will get some pics up of the seats once the drivers side is in!!

Yeah, the KE36's and KE35's have the same front end as the KE30's. They are all pretty much swapable.

found out my powerloss problem, sparkplugs shate themselves...

and the points where far gone...all fixed now!

small update,

 

Dizzy completly shit itself, cap shattered itself, and my dizzy interenals where scattered all over the place,

since replaced it and now car wont start..grrrrr, so while its stop working, took the time to take the standard carby off, was knacked pretty good, got a 4k carby sitting inside, all cleaned up waiting to go one along with the red painted accelerator bracket and return spring bracket.

 

Contemplating selling the car, but will see what happens,

 

If not, then some celica struts will be put in, maybe TA22 as they 30mm (correct?) shorter than corolla struts, so will drop it a fair bit with low springs,.
