demuire Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 Some observations I've made... 1) If you're under the car, and the only real source of light is coming from a handheld florescent tube, everytime you put it down or try to hang it up, stand it up or otherwise stop holding it, it will spin around and shine straight in your eyes. 2) The more thought you put into putting something down so that you don't lose it, the less chance you have of finding it again 2 minutes later. 3) Even if you just put an extension cord down for a minute, it will invariably get tangled in anything and everything around it 4) If you wear glasses (like me), just as you get your head into the correct position to look at something, your glasses will shift just enough so that you can't see it. Xany Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 add to that the bermuda triangle of nuts and bolts..... i always seem to either have too many or not enough....you put it down for a second and its gone!!......:) Quote
Teddy Posted May 10, 2004 Report Posted May 10, 2004 tell me about it... pulling apart the blue car (now nicks) and then putting it back 2 gether again... now were did i put that nut...... (73 bags of labeled nuts later, and still a missing one !!) Quote
demuire Posted May 10, 2004 Author Report Posted May 10, 2004 My bermuda triangle also seems to include spanners (have lost about 6 so far, including 1 ratchet one that cost a small fortune), screwdrivers (have lost 2 Kinchrome ones), and a whole bunch of sockets. But yes, nuts, bolts and screws, where on earth do they go??? Not to mention sometimes it's really bizzare, after you clean up the whole car etc and make sure there's nothing in it, 2 days later you find the bolt you were looking for just sitting on the floor... And I don't even have carpet in the car! Where was it all the while??? I swear sometimes I think I'm going mad :) Quote
Xany Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 i know the feeling......now i just buy shitty supercheap spanners and ratchets cause i can't afford to keep losing my good ones.....hehehe....they do the job until you put too much torque on them and you punch yourself in the face because the spanner has snapped in two....... :) i'm lucky i have a plethora of spare parts, including nuts and bolts..... NickAE86 Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 casper strikes again he used to reside at my old place of work....little bastard kept taking things when no one was looking Quote
Teddy Posted May 11, 2004 Report Posted May 11, 2004 " - Paint Stripper and wire wheels are a bitch - get used to it " heheheheh having a good old laugh here lol hehehehhehe oh and nick, if u find any sockets in the blue car, do tell me, coz dad is yet to find the missing 1s.... ohhhh crappp !!! Quote
demuire Posted May 11, 2004 Author Report Posted May 11, 2004 To add to point #3 from Nick, wire wheels go through flesh REALLY quickly. And thinners and other solvents on fresh wounds REALLY hurts. Quote
TOMsGPTurbo Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 I just don't like it when you pull some apart ...put it back together and out of no where 2 or more bolts/screws/nuts appear! And then it causes a real pain in the bunghol trying to work out where you went wrong! Though its alright when your working on your wheels and 4 nuts a left over ....and you go for a drive and a wheel falls off... then you know exactly where you went wrong lol Quote
Teddy Posted May 14, 2004 Report Posted May 14, 2004 lol *scratches chin* ...But jimmy told me that the ball joints were interlocking, and bolts were not nessary.... :) Quote
