Trev Posted June 21, 2006 Report Posted June 21, 2006 Revolution race gear sell Mechanix (brand) gloves which are a full hand (i know some people like to expose thier tips for better grip) for about $30. Quote
styler Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 i have used washing up liquid, washing powder, cleaning detergent etc  but nothing works like PROTECTA PINK GRIT!!  has grains that rub off grease, cuts through grime and has moisturising stuff that keeps the hands supple lol... Quote
Mr Hardware Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Uh-huh  Septone Protecta Pink  yep, nuff said alright. Quote
turbo_rolla Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 Solvol if i've got a bar laying around, or a bit of washing powder! :) Like xany said though, washing powder stings like f$#k if ya got cuts! Solvol is also hard to get the grease off of your finger nails though. This protecta pink may be worth a shot though! Quote
love ke70 Posted June 22, 2006 Report Posted June 22, 2006 alotta blokes don't like the grit coz it gets stuck in open wounds (i have these constantly) the normal protecta pink melts the grease away, and u can jus scrub with ur nails at any more stubborn bits  i think the question should be, how do you get the shit out from under ur nails!? Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 Use Thinners / Prepsol to get paint off my hands if I've been painting and the Protecta pink to get any dirt off after.. Quote
Raven Posted June 23, 2006 Author Report Posted June 23, 2006 Anything else that anyone would like to add? I'm compiling a list in my first post :) Quote
love ke70 Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 on the note of what not to do don't use protecta pink to wash ur hair. it worked brilliantly but shit it made my scalp burn! wearing singlets and shorts all the time i tend to strip down and do a all main body parts protecta pink. just be quick to get in the shower if not the softer skin on ur arms and stuff gets a bit sore! good stuff that PROTECTA PINK :) Quote
Stiks666 Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 I mainly use washing powder. Have used degeaser, petrol, gritty soap stuff, prepsol and epsolve. Quote
love ke70 Posted June 23, 2006 Report Posted June 23, 2006 how much $$$ nick? i think we pay 20 summin for 4 kilo or litres lasts a while ... Quote
counc Posted June 24, 2006 Report Posted June 24, 2006 heres a suggestion from me and the boys at G & S Diesel Services before you start working on your cars get any run of the mill dishwashing liquid, squirt some onto your hands and rub it in. Allow it to dry and see how your hands are after your finished for the day and wash up. Â cheers Counc Quote
frosty Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Septone Orange Scrub works well and doesnt smell too bad either :) Quote
Clown Posted June 25, 2006 Report Posted June 25, 2006 Myself and a few of the guys were working on the corolla a while back, managed to get paint on hands. After scubbing for a bit i still had bits on paint on my hands that refused to come off. We decided we'd go get hungry jacks for tea and while eating my chips i spotted the paint coming off. I could just run a chip over the paint and it would remove it. I refused to eat my chips after witnessing that :) Quote
