JiP Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 (edited) That looks HOT!!! Came up beaut  Question: How do you go about degreasing the engine bay?? I've wanted to do mine but just am unsure because of the wires and looms under there. Edited August 20, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote
lappy Posted August 20, 2006 Author Report Posted August 20, 2006 we just got the degreaser gun filled it up with degreaser plugged it up to the air compressor and squirted away then it started 1st go. also bled the brakes after having all the struts and diff apart the brakes are soo good the car came with new brake pads and shoes all around. JiP Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 So it doesn't matter if the wires get wet?? Quote
Dan Posted August 20, 2006 Report Posted August 20, 2006 In a carby car, not really, think about it; they get wet when you drive it in the rain anyway. However, when you get into injected cars, apparently its a good idea to stay away from the wires. WTF is all I could say, but apparently it happens. Â Just go and buy a $2 can of degreaser from SuperCrap, spray it on (keeping in mind to KEEP IT AWAY FROM PAINT, it eats through it) and hose it off five minutes later. Good as gold, you'll understand how it works as soon as you have the can in your greasy little hands. Quote
lappy Posted August 22, 2006 Author Report Posted August 22, 2006 (edited) i have 2 doors coming and a right hand front mudguard and a litre of paint. Edited August 22, 2006 by lappy Quote
Dan Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 :good: Will look mad, did you get the paint colour matched? I'm looking at buying some paint for my EAs door and bonnet but I'm scared that it will look out of place, comparing 25 year old paint and brand new paint, it will probably be different. Quote
