evilbetty Posted June 12, 2006 Author Report Posted June 12, 2006 and finally with a nice tight squezze with the amp fitting in to the mdf box,and thats about as far back as i can get it the wood box is about 1 inch from the 1/4 panel so theres still room to breath, also if you look in the previous photos you will see a bunch of round holes in the mdf ,i put them there to let out a little heat from the amp on long cruises,so hopefully there wont be any problems with it ...... JiP Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 (edited) -Yeah, I also kinda carry alot of shit in my boot so i plan on raising the floor like 15cms so i can put my tools and shit under and hide them so when i open the boot it looks nice and clean. But thats later down the track. Jon. Edited July 16, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote

Jon. hay thats a great idea !!! raising the floor now why didnt i think of that!!!,yeah a small tool kit in the boot would be a great idea, you could also build like a mini storage wall where the petrol tank is , at the monmet myne is just covered in material looks tydy but dosent really serve much purpose ,so that could be an idea too,ill draw something up and post it up see what you think...... JiP Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 (edited) I've come up with so many ideas but am alittle slow at getting them started due to cash. i have to prioritise. I have a small tool box, has everything spanners, shifters, ratchits, screwdrivers, ratchit screw drivers, electrical tape, stanley knife & pliers. It is a kit and is 10cm thick and about 40cms tall by 25cms wide. It even has a small storage draw whitch i use when i got to the wreckers. Either to pinch small stuff or put screws in from something i'm buying. My plan was to build a frame abnd have it to go around the wheel well and maybe even have a smaller frame in the wheel well so if i need to get my spare i don't have to remover everything, just the cover, the wheel well frame and base then tire. Simple. Jon. **EDIT** My Brain Is Working On Overdrive!!** Edited July 16, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote
evilbetty Posted June 12, 2006 Author Report Posted June 12, 2006 heres a quick scribble i done for a basic idea of what i just said before about haveing a storage cupboard in front of the fuel tank this wouldnt be to hard to build but you would lose id say about 5 or 6 inches of boot space, luckly its at the back so you wouldnt really notice it to much ,would also keep things nice and tidy, you could also do some thing like this on your floor as well??????dunno just an idea ,since i have used up one of my 1/4 panel space ive now got a tyre iron bar and jack that i can put any where so this could be a good way to keep them on board but out of sight, hmmmm may lookin to it a bit more this week????? JiP Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 (edited) -Could work but by bringing the boxes out your already blocking the wheel well cause it starts at the Fuel tank wall. Edited July 16, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote
Trev Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 i decieded to give it a slight tidy up,i call it a tidy up because its not really a project car or anything like that its just a daily driver that i thought id tidy a bit Well are you planning a project anytime soon  Quote
evilbetty Posted June 12, 2006 Author Report Posted June 12, 2006 Well are you planning a project anytime soon  hahahha well no this car isnt supose to be a project it is only supose to be a daily driver ,but the more little things i do the more i get into it!!! hahaha ive had heaps of cars before the last was a rx7 s2 which i completly rebuild to the extreme it was a nice car but took 2 years of my time,i did not want this car to take that kind of time from me thats why i said it is just a general tidy up,a 2 year build id call that a project!! Trev Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Any way of using the drivers inner guard to store a spare tyre? Quote
MI55KE Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 Heya, No hard feelings about using my car's pic lol, it will get some attention now, cause i love what you've done to yours! I'm looking to do about the same, once i get some cash flow. Want to respray the original colour, re-do the door trims cause i really don't like the blue, maybe black or white. Also looking to replace the carpet aswell. Keep it up..hopefully mine will look as hot as that one day! Cheers ~*CaRz!*~ Quote
