demuire Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Anyone going to this? andrew: If I go for this (it's this Sunday) I might pop round to you too to see about these rims, seeing as Jimboomba is the next suburb down... Let me know if this is not so good... Quote
andrew Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 no that sweet. whats happening at macleans bridge??? :) Quote
demuire Posted May 4, 2004 Author Report Posted May 4, 2004 andrew: it's the annual mothers day car show. I've never been to it but I've been told there's some nice machinery on show there every year. Nick: I could possibly have 1 spare seat in the car :) Quote
andrew Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 ok cool. well do you want to meet there and i will bring the corona as they are currently on it. what time do you think you will be there???? Quote
demuire Posted May 4, 2004 Author Report Posted May 4, 2004 andrew: no idea what time I'll be there yet. Not even 100% sure if I'll be there yet (really depends on how the car goes over the next few days, it isn't even with me at the moment... at the workshop...) But I'd like to go :) And sure, meet there also sounds okay. BTW, If I get those rims off you I'd probably not want those tyres... So if I do decide to get them will have to organise another time to get them obviously. Quote
demuire Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Andrew: Oh crummy I'm now home, forgot to see you... Hmm. Quote
demuire Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Yea my gearbox was giving me problems, and them my clutch system shat itself (later discovered to be hydrolic leak) so I had to flatshift every single gear halfway there and all the way home, and then my drivers door got stuck (the mechnism jammed and then the lever popped off so there was no way to unlock the door) so I had to crawl out the passenger door, by the time it was time to leave I really wasn't thinking of anything except getting home!!! Clutch fixed now, door fixed, but gearbox is worse than ever, I now effectively have a 4 speed - 1, 2, 3, 5th. 4th just pops straight back out and grinds and makes all sorts of bad sounds. Quote
andrew Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 shit thats on good. maybe the gates inside the gearbox for 4th are bent or worn for. if it is a borgwarner box, they are prone to this. if you get into total kaos with the box and it gets worse, i have a 4 speed you can have for free until you get the 5 speed fixed or get another. its there if you need it. demuire Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Andrew: yeah my box is a T50... An early one out of a Celica TA22... Quote
ae71neo Posted May 9, 2004 Report Posted May 9, 2004 hey demuire i saw your corolla with black bonnet a couple of times actually. You were behind us on the way home. probably wont remember a stock '04 accent hahah. looked mad pointed it out to dad :) Quote
demuire Posted May 9, 2004 Author Report Posted May 9, 2004 Hehe... Okay. Hope you didn't hear too much "crunching" of the gearbox, was trying really hard not to have to shift gears... stupid clutch... Oh well, who needs 4th gear anyway... Quote
