NoPsi Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 (edited) Not a huge difference at all. The body mounts are the same as the earlier one. My advice is purchase a complete hilux ute with 22r and purchase the equivalent model/year 4runner with 22r then you won't have too many dramas. You'll have everything you need. There's currenlty a late model unfinished project for sale on Subsided and DUT. On 2wd chassis. No engine/box. $4500. Edited June 13, 2006 by NoPsi Quote
Fat Bastard Customs Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 thanks man, I'm gonna do a body swap, my mate wants a turbo deisel hilux so hes gonna buy a surf & I'm gonna buy hilux 2wd and where gonna swap bodies  Quote
NoPsi Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 Your mate will end up needing an extra cab tub rather than single cab unless you are planning on lengthning his chassis. As for you, you will need to cut about 280mm out of your 2wd chassis. You'll also need to swap the six tray mounts and body mounts over from each chassis. Your fuel tank is another issue as the std 2wd tank won't fit under the runner body. Needs to be speced down and then your tank will hang past your chassis rails. Quote
Fat Bastard Customs Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 That's not as bad as i was ecpecting & the fuel tank is not an issue because I'm going to be running dedicated LPG, i gotta get some work but when i do, methinks I'm gonna need some of your advice :jealous: Quote
