Rolla__Boy Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 I was just stumbling around my hard drive and thought I would post up some pics of my old KE30 Quote
JiP Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 (edited) :faq: Neat little ride there. KE55 door skins?? Abit off topic but what years did the front apron come out plain, and what years did it come out where it flated out in the front like your white corolla there?? Edited July 16, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 7, 2006 Author Report Posted June 7, 2006 No idea, and yeah they are late model square headlight model door trims, I took them out of my old one. They are HEAPS better :faq: Quote
Xany Posted June 7, 2006 Report Posted June 7, 2006 yeah, i agree with the door trims.....you get third degree burns if you rest your arm on the hot metal after its been in the sun for 6 hours..... :faq: Quote
ScottKE1X Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 yeah, i agree with the door trims.....you get third degree burns if you rest your arm on the hot metal after its been in the sun for 6 hours..... :D yeah, and when you're repainting you don't have to worry about the inside :faq: Nice looking ride, are they the same TRX rims you got now? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 Nope, I bought those TRX rims (5 of) for $150, then sold 4 of them for $200 hehe, then I bought a set of 4 that had just been powder coated and had brand new tyres for $200, and had them on my coupe, then I sold just the rims of that set for $150, then I bought the ones I have now (5 of) for $20 with no tyres, and used the tyres off the powder coated set :faq: I currently have 2 spares, and I also got given an actual TRX that has 4 of them on it too haha...it's TRX rim mania Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 yeah, i agree with the door trims.....you get third degree burns if you rest your arm on the hot metal after its been in the sun for 6 hours..... :faq: It's lucky I live in Canberra anyway, the sun has never been out for 6 hours in a row haha Quote
Xany Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 It's lucky I live in Canberra anyway, the sun has never been out for 6 hours in a row haha Bwahahahaha......yeah you're lucky down there, you actually DO get rain... :faq: Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 Rain is bad for Corolla's, they don't seal no matter how hard you try haha Quote
JiP Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 (edited) :faq: I kinda like the KE30 door trims. Hell if i'm gonna get burnt its not gonna be from the strip of metal on the door but from the vinal seats. (Ouch!!) Edited July 16, 2006 by JiP_01 Quote
Trent-KE30 Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Geoffrey lemme go get a towel! That's very clean and neat, how come you never told me you had this! Trent Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 Twas just a shitter, paid $600 with 10 months rego and 4 brand new tyres, new starter, new ignition, new front struts. I just drove it for 2 years, then this happened..... Quote
Corolla_Kid Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 Nice one :faq: did you have any cooling issues with the radiator being mounted sideways? Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted June 8, 2006 Author Report Posted June 8, 2006 All was fine....then suddenly it started running hot...so we put a commodore radiator out in the front of the car, and it ran hot still....So the problem ended up being the "new" water pump's impella had fallen to pieces, so old water pump back on...corolla radiator sideways back in the engine bay...all good again. Felix Posted June 8, 2006 Report Posted June 8, 2006 that would have hauled with the 202. :faq: what box was behind it? Quote
