pozman Posted December 7, 2006 Author Report Posted December 7, 2006 started to put the fuel system together today. brought a electric carby fuel pump for a lift pump. did this as it will nt have to be in the tank and is self priming. its basically a high volume/low pressure pump flows 2.2 litres a min. at 4-7 psi so should be enough considering that it will empty my fuel tank in 20min also got my surge tank aswell and started to orginize the boot and how it will sit in there ordered the main pump, i only got a vl pump for now, but the surge tank has two outle6ts so if i end up needing more fuel down the track i can just run a second pump, should be in tomorrow hopefully then i can finish it all off (the fuel area that is) Quote

pozman Posted December 11, 2006 Author Report Posted December 11, 2006 what did you do to it, they just started dicking up on my computer aswell. Quote
pozman Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 went to the wreckers today, scored myself some xt130 struts and a ra23 clutch master. after sepending some time looking at all the different toyatas down there i disided to go for the ra23, (as some are using these anyway) and when i was fidling around under there i noticed that the peddle box in them is almost exactly the same as the ke 55 one bar the clutch peddle. :) the ke 55 even has the hole cut for the master cylinder in the fire wall, but the ke 30 does not. so clutch souldn't be tohard to work out got my plates today, gunna look good :P Quote
pozman Posted December 16, 2006 Author Report Posted December 16, 2006 (edited) broke the bank yesterday, instead of dicking around with the silvia calipers, i went to the 4wd wreckers and scored myself a set of LN106 calipers for only $220, which i thought was a good price as it minimises the custom fab in the brake area. (not to mention that there freakin 4 pots) these things are huge, they take up 1/3 of the disc!! Edited December 16, 2006 by pozman Quote
oh what a nissan feeling! Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 mmmmmm, big brakes. Four pots can give you wheel clearance problems though, but its worth every bit. Quote
pozman Posted December 17, 2006 Author Report Posted December 17, 2006 yeah i did notice that they come out past the hub, so i will have to be careful with the wheels. i know my 16s will fit but not sure on the 15s Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 MASSIVE brakes...with good pads, something you will never regret buying hehe Quote
irokin Posted December 18, 2006 Report Posted December 18, 2006 MASSIVE brakes...with good pads, something you will never regret buying hehe Unless you drive around with cheapo tires. I had to move to pretty much a semi slick to keep up with my brakes....still isn't enough :'( Quote
pozman Posted December 21, 2006 Author Report Posted December 21, 2006 year my tires wont keep up. stupid falkens i got my discs machined down a milimeter so they would clear the calipers, now i have to get the stuts modified is it worth spending the extra money to get coilover sleevs or just put the ke55 spring cups on the them, i'm not sure as as sone as i get them at the height i want i dubt that i will ever change them again. also do i have to shorten them or what? there the same length as my original ones!
