code 51 is for the A/C load signal, if you have an imobilizer fitted i'd bet that's the problem.

some of them work by shutting off the signal for the injectors or can shut of the crank angle signal which comes from the dizzy.

I'm still saying no signal from CAS in dizzy, or whatever sensor the dizzy uses.

does mr gregory tell you how to check for signal?

My incompetence and lack of ability is preventing me from helping; if i do try and help, id be guessing and getting in the way. Ive got a spare set of delortoes on my shelf if its any help ? :faq:

Get rid of immobiliser altogether.....no one will even THINK about stealing a camry... :faq:

From what you've said, sounds like the immobiliser is the key.

imobilizers cut power to the engine, in your case the computer, they only cut starter motor power to impress suits and stop you winding till the batterys flat, i'd have another look at it

its the only thing that lets go without warning and would give you a negitive input code that i can think of off the top of my head

Computer has power. But maybe like trd_ke70 said, it cuts signal to the injectors, or from the crank angle sensor thingy... Oh well, find out tomorrow I guess.

Well I'll be damned. Had the car towed out to trd_ke70's work last night, he's come to the car this morning to have a look at it, and guess what - it works.

Typical... Just typical...

Oh well. At least it works.

Mr Hardware - hahahah! So.. So true..

mikeys toy - New yaris is one of the worst quality built cars ive ever seen toyota make. I'm actually bitterly dissipointed with the cars we are getting in australia, and of them, the basic quality..
