Brendo Posted June 12, 2006 Author Report Posted June 12, 2006 hey guys i have made a decision and I'm dropping in a ca18, a mate of mine is getting an sr20det for his s13 and when its in hes giving me the NA ca18 with extractors and gearbox hell cheap... so when it all happens prob round chrissy this year (we hope) i'll keep u guys posted with pics and info and so on as to how the project is going! cheers Brendan Quote
tas_ae71 Posted June 12, 2006 Report Posted June 12, 2006 yea.. how cheap? who? pagey?.... wouldnt mind a ca for that future track project... wana swap for a 4k and box? I'm shore you do  i saw a 12a and box in the paper the other day/week... $500 or was that $1000, or maybe $1200 i can't remember... Quote
Brendo Posted June 13, 2006 Author Report Posted June 13, 2006 yeah it was 1200 hundred bucks. I'm gettin the ca and box cheap enough to make u jealous and yeah its pagey. its not gonna be track car but just an improved version of what it is now, a pig drifter. track car? you mean your ae71? why would u want a ca anyway, get a 4age Quote
tas_ae71 Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 na I'm going to build a cadet tube chassis track car, it should be under 400kg... one day... when i do it will eb hell quick... probaly around 350kw/tone... not to bad for an old ca... i have no ambitions to turn the ae71 into a full track car, it will see pletty of track but it will be the every day car too... it seems no one wants me to go turbo 4ac... TOY3TG Posted June 13, 2006 Report Posted June 13, 2006 Nope...Rotary's sound like that...wank wank wank wank wank wank wank wank it wouldnt sound like that when a stock 12A flys past your coupe  . the go BRAP or BUZZ the only wanking sound comes from people that drive riced up piston engined vehicles when they think they have the power but they don't. go the rotors. Taz_Rx Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 :D ^^^^ what he said!!! As you should know I love my K's, but the rolla runs out of chuff at 6,000rpm, thats when my rx4 really "comes on cam" and pulls harder and harder all the way through to 10,000rpm!!! I reckon the only K powered car in Aus that would beat it is Darren's (untubbed_20) old turbo'd 5k. and thats an old skool N/A bridgy!!! Quote
TOY3TG Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 well, i don't understand the point of turbocharging K engines for the little amount of power they are going to make, sure it would have been good back in the day but theres new technology now so why not use it on the street anyway, sure enough use a K engine if your going to be racing in a certain catagory but even then u will get put up with the larger capacity motors because your running a turbocharger and they'll woop your ass anyway. same thing goes for 4AC why would u bother? just put a 4AG in it, sure everyones done it but ul have the power and technology so why not use it. Taz_Rx Posted June 14, 2006 Report Posted June 14, 2006 answer to your ponder........shits and giggles!! :D  Its fun to look at the commo drivers faces too when you keep up with them!! Quote
