What To Do

been pulling my 4k from my ke70 apart, as was planning to rebuild with tough cam

 

but

 

I'm really getting the shits with looking at the stupid lil 1.3 and thinkin its not worth it

 

so i been thinkin new engine but i wanna keep it simple so i can do most of the work

 

so i been thinkin

4age twincam 16v

 

or being a cheap ass with a 5k

 

probably the 5k

 

cause i got the k 50 gearbox, which probably wouldnt last to long with a 4age

 

i want to get a t18 diff and swap across a trd 2 way lsd center

 

 

any ideas or comments people?

You'd need a T50 gearbox to bolt up to a 4AGE anyway, unless you went out and got a bellhousing that will adapt a W5x series gearbox from a Supra.

 

Go the 5k and get that going hard with a set of side-draft weber carbs.

 

That way you don't have the hassle of wiring up an engine and adding a lift pump and surge tank etc etc to your current fuel system to get EFI to work on the car.

How much did you want to spend?

If you ain't got much to spend, then go the cheap 5K fix.

Otherwise, if you have the funds... do the 4AGE swap.

i really don't think that its really worth spending over two G on my one

quit it, k motors are bulletproof, simple to work on and extremely cheap

 

um... you get what you pay for... its pretty obvious k motors aren't going to match engines that cost like 10 times the price

 

...and they don't go THAT badly
