Tally Posted December 22, 2007 Report Posted December 22, 2007 (edited) Sounds good man. Have you seen the 1970 Toyota Sprinter? I have never seen a picture of one other then the one in this pic below. See how it has the point in the middle of the grill. I'm not really sure if its a TE27 as it has the older style fender mirrors and skinny tires. But its unusual none the less. Edited December 22, 2007 by Tally Quote
Redwarf Posted June 13, 2008 Author Report Posted June 13, 2008 After a long period of inactivity, had a bit of a play with the old girl tonight. First pic is of flare mounted roughly where I want it. Plasma cutter fired up, and front guard trimed. (Will be trimmed better at later date.....) Holes drilled, and temporarily fitted. Flares will be black until I get off my rectum and paint them properly..... The backs are going to be a bit of an issue, due to the double skin. Pics of that probably Monday....... Quote
Medicine_Man Posted June 13, 2008 Report Posted June 13, 2008 oooh, Progress, Nice :lolcry: Found some spare time lately hey? Quote
Redwarf Posted June 16, 2008 Author Report Posted June 16, 2008 Spare time? No more than usual. Just motivated. Pic of the rear: Quote

Teddy Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 i demand to see more pictures :) Quote
Redwarf Posted September 4, 2008 Author Report Posted September 4, 2008 Okay. :) The pics above are of my newly arrived TE27 crossmember, and the pedal assy on the left is also 27. Thus today's progress was fitting the crossmember. On the 20's, there's a large "lump" that protrudes from the firewall. It's where the back of the heater/ fan sits. As I no longer have this contraption in the car (it's heavy..), I took the lump out, due to the fact that there isn't a lot of room behind a 2TG for access to bolts. Thus, lump removed, plate manufactured and installed, Mig like. Off to a rally for the weekend. More next week. Quote
TE278U Posted September 4, 2008 Report Posted September 4, 2008 hmmmm, i will be very interested to see how easy the pedal assembly 'bolts' in. lots of pics pls :) *subscribes* -dave Quote

marksKE25 Posted September 7, 2008 Report Posted September 7, 2008 hey I would love to have a closer look as to how you have mounted the flares... I have the same ones for my ke25..... Just haven't been brave enough to start guessing as to how to prep the metal behind, ie fold the the metal out........ Quote
Redwarf Posted October 25, 2008 Author Report Posted October 25, 2008 Okay. Levin pedal assembly is now in. Started with a cardboard template to find where the holes are meant to go, as at this point I thought that I'd be able to use some of the original holes. I then transfered it to metal when I realised that all the holes were going to be different. If you look at the firewall of a 25, you can see where the holes for the different pedal box are meant to be, but have been left undrilled by Toyota. I removed the factory stiffener from where the brake master used to live, as this was going to get in the way of where the clutch master is going to live. New holes drilled, and assy dummy fit. Old brake master hole welded up. and new lower mount hole drilled. As I removed the stiffener from the now clutch side, I made up a new stiffener from 2mm plate to add support. I also made one for the brake side as the firewall was a bit thin there as well. The masters fit in there quite nicely. And another dummy fit on the pedal box, to make sure the push rod lengths are satisfactory. Quote
parrot Posted October 25, 2008 Report Posted October 25, 2008 This is great! I'm glad you doing this now as my pedal box and crossmember are on the way too! Great to see it coming along. You weren't tempted to go with a boosted master? Quote
Redwarf Posted October 25, 2008 Author Report Posted October 25, 2008 Tempted? A bit. I've run this car for many years without, and like the feel. Thus this master is going on without a booster. If you want the metal template when time comes, give me a call and I'll post it down. Quote
