Trent-KE30 Posted May 15, 2006 Report Posted May 15, 2006 My corolla of course, apart from that, my old man had a 308 VL Commodore, with mild cams, man that thing used to get up and boogy, \ Also my 4M 73 MS65 Crown was up there too, that thing used to motor. Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 adjusted daisy's valves today, then took her out for a little run..... marked off a true 1/4 mi. ran her through the gears.... i'm just getting into 3rd when i hit the line at 85mph i figure this is good for high 16's/low 17's? oh well... i'm pretty happy i can get 95mph in 3rd before the rev limiter hits at 6,100 rpm Quote
ancullen Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 When I did the quarter in the other half's Starlet I crossed the line at 140km/h (about 85mph) and that was an 18.1 if I recall correctly. It may have been a 19.1, but definitely wasn't in the 17's. Fastest car I've ever owned would have to be Lola. Although, my standard current model Corolla (Leila) probably accelerates quicker (even with crap traction) because Lola's rear suspension is f**ked. I've achieved 205km/h according to the speedo in Leila. Lola I've had up to about 160-170km/h, but that's only estimated based on the speed of another car due to me not having a working tacho or speedo. Quote
ancullen Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 I once owned an automatic ZZT132 Celica in a 2.7L manual dualcab Hilux. Oh you mean owned as in purchasing and maintaining. :D Quote
SLOTH Snr Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 (edited) My XB GS 351. It had major work done to it.(Piad for but not done by me) It had some wild cam,Shelby cobra heads and god knows what else. It started with a standard c10 tranny, then a celica 5spd,then back to the c10 with full manual valve bodies. Tried a number of carbies, Holly 950dbl pump,Quad Delauto's but worked best with Holly 850dbl pump. Extractors and 2"twin stainless exhaust Tyre's front 14x60 265 rear 14x50x355 Ran mid 12sec. Best time was by someone else so it doesn't count Edited May 16, 2006 by SLOTH Snr Quote

Clown Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 Mr2 was a 15.5 on the street with wayyyyyyyyyy to much wheel spin and a passanger, low boost, bad tune, shit tyres etc. etc.. Been told several people its good for about a 14flat so who knows. Quote
Rolla__Boy Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 I've had my KE35 speedo down to where the needle hits the trip meter a few times. I have had 2 351 Falcons also...both of which I took well off the end of the speedo. The fastest was my XD ESP 351 5 speed....it was a burnout machine too :D Quote
mikeys toy[RL] Posted May 16, 2006 Report Posted May 16, 2006 (edited) well, i did a best in the cricket of 17.17@79mph on slicks w/ a 1.8 60ft time and a .515 reaction time daisy's best was 18.91@71mph with the weber, slicks, 4.22 gears and the k50 the speedo has been certified by the chp so it's accurate.... last year on the dyno it would have run a 19.4@60mph on 185/70/13s, 3.58 gears and a k50 w/extractors, 2" exhaust and 4ke efi running like shit not arguing, but the numbers speak for themselves Edited May 16, 2006 by mikeys toy Quote
Taz_Rx Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 my rolla has run 17.6 with a weber being the only mod, then at tassie nats ran 17 flat on 6psi. at a guess I reckon 10psi on the switch would get about 16.5. Quote
tas corolla Posted May 17, 2006 Report Posted May 17, 2006 my fastest would be my brumby ute ej20t heaps of fun not a lot of weight hopefully good for high 13s Quote
